Welcome to the story line community for Spent Magazine RPG. Membership is open, so feel free to join and discuss plots and story lines if you're already a member of the game, or if you're interested in joining.

A few notes:

Spent Magazine is the New York offices of a major men's magazine. As such, every staffer probably isn't brother/sister/mom/second cousin removed from each other. We differ from town or family based games in this respect - you really need to think about how your character can know people in the game.

We're big fans of organically growing relationships. This means that we prefer it if all of your character's relationships weren't based upon preplanned SLs. When that happens, we find that the lines can get stale and awkward, because you haven't RPed out the relationship and gotten a feel for the other character in your plot.

Our suggestion for this community? Tell us a bit about your character, his/her personality, quirks, etc., and see if there are other players who think their character would probably get along. That gives you people to approach coming into the game that you can then RP with and build some relationships. Want to thread or scene over AIM? Find partners/scenarios/etc., here. We like to think of it as more of a place to develop character relationships than a place to find 'the best friend' or the 'ex-girlfriend you never stopped loving' story lines.

Please keep in mind that membership in this community is optional for our players. Therefore, do not be discouraged if you get fewer responses than you'd like. Rest assured that a great deal of plotting and storyline making happens in-game!
