The amount of waiting that the cleric did obviously paid off. It took some time, but eventually that same man he saw the other night slumped through the wide hall he was currently standing in. They were alone there. This gave him a few verifications. He would have been notified of a strange presence within the temple by one of his underlings if they had seen him. Also, it was indeed this same man again.
Donovan may have been comfortable with just nodding to him as he passed by, but the cleric stopped and looked over at him. He wasn’t sure what to say at first. After all, he wasn’t really great at casual greetings. He never had to give casual greetings. His life was quiet and lonely, but it wasn’t casual in the presence of others. It never could be.
Rather than force a greeting out of himself, he just decided to bypass it completely and hope for the best. “Does any other death come through here? Or is it only you?”
