Quickly figuring out what Kyu-Sik meant by overcorrecting and why to avoid it, Donovan adjusted his turns to the wheel to be a bit more delicate, more controlled. At least he remained calm despite awareness of Kyu-Sik's inner panic, regarding the task with more focus than usual. Steering a car was a bit similar in concept to navigating his bicycle, but the far larger machine required a bit more subtlety that he hadn't expected. It was easy enough to get the feel for how responsive the car was through trial and error, but concentrating on one aspect made it easy to forget he was supposed to be pushing the pedal down too and soon the car slowed to a stop.
Oops. Pressing it down again, lightly enough not to zoom away, Donovan continued to nod along at the instruction. He eased the car along the path he vaguely remembered them taking up the mountain, glancing at the signs that seemed to indicate which way back down. Just careful enough for Kyu-Sik's benefit, both in interest of not wrecking his car and out of consideration for his condition. Donovan had taken care of plenty of sick siblings before and his ex-boyfriend's messy hangovers to not be all that bothered by the sound nor smell of vomit. But to be practical, they only had so many spare bags before they'd start having to pull over if Kyu-Sik's stomach didn't settle down.
Despite never driving before, he at least knew the basic traffic safety laws and how to follow signals. And at least there weren't many options on which way to go at the moment, so getting lost wasn't much of a worry.
