It was a bit of a stretch to reach the pedals and Donovan wasn't quite sure which was the one for going and the one for stopping yet. Suddenly he regretted never trying out any of these games at the noisy arcades Owen enthusiastically dragged them to their first few weeks in California. He could only guess that you weren't supposed to use both at the same time. Despite a bit uncomfortable, he didn't bother adjusting the seat or any of the mirrors. Both out of not realizing he should and not wanting to mess with whatever Kyu-Sik had set up.
"Right, that's... Okay," Donovan nodded along as Kyu-Sik shifted the car into a setting he had no idea how to interpret, his estimation of how complicated this could be going from "maybe a bit" to "what is even going on?" The car slowly started rolling backward, and Donovan clutched the wheel and could only assume that's what it was supposed to be doing. At least nothing was too close behind them, Donovan confirmed with a glance over his shoulder.
Pressing one pedal down experimentally stopped the car with a bit of a sudden jerk (sorry, Kyu-Sik's stomach), which made it easy to guess that the other was for the gas. The steering part, at least, seemed intuitive enough. Getting the car backed out with a surprising lack of incident, he glanced back down at the mysterious gear shifter between the seats. Now how was he supposed to go forward?
