"Plan always do good if you make realistic ones," he snapped. He knew it wasn't easy out on the streets, but that didn't mean he was about to go so easy on her either. Not when he was still trying to figure out what to do himself. He just needed to think of a way to keep the conversation going. Hanging the kettle at the fireplace, he looked back at her once again confused. "Stolen? While you were wearing them?" He really hoped that she had taken them off before the stealing occurred, but part of him doubted it. He just didn't understand how anyone could let that happen.
Michel remembered that he did still have her cape, but shoes for her was something he definitely did not have. His own extra pair would likely have mercilessly swallowed her feet without ever staying on. Not even laces could help there. It shouldn't have been his responsibility to provide something for her anyway, so all the more reason why she would just have to stay put for awhile. "What have you been doing the past few weeks?"
