Pleased with his attention and ignoring the warning, Mabelle placed one of her fingers over his lips with a tiny hush, still holding his chin but gently enough that he could easily turn his head without much effort. "Who said I was planning to leave?" she lowered her voice, carefully stepping forward onto his feet to give her a bit more height.
There was still quite a bit of distance between them, and she knew if things were going to work she'd need to be much closer to his face. Other hand grasping at the fabric of the front of his coat, Mabelle pulled herself up onto the tips of her toes, pressing her body completely against his in the process. He was comfortably warm, and it was almost enough to call her plans off just to stay like that for a bit longer. Hand slipping from his face to his cravat, she tugged it lightly to lead him downward, staring unblinkingly into his eyes with unspoken purpose.
