"At least you're not entirely clueless," he grumbled. It was more natural for him to agree that he didn't like her than admitting he had enjoyed any of their lessons together. She was much more entertaining to keep her around than he would've initially assumed. However, she was also just as irritating. Mainly with the matter at hand, but still. He felt comfortable enough in just agreeing, as he figured she should've been used to that anyway.
He could only cringe at her scratch of a reply. "I'm not acting like a child, but there isn't any way to take care of it with him. I have every right to complain! Now don't do that again or you'll ruin the bow." If there was a master of hypocrisy, it certainly would've been him. However, he was firm in his statements. Lifting his violin into a correct position he did play the correct tuning note the second time around. Deciding it sounded good enough, he motioned for her to hurry and sit down again.
"You remember the tuning notes?" Not that he would've let her forget after their other lessons. Michel never cared how well a person played if they weren't in tune, so it seemed like the best place to start when he began teaching her.
