Quit? Michel told people to quit, but no one ever told him to quit anything. There was a line there. Just as she had intended to say something eloquent and powerful, he had intended to stand there and listen with a look on his face that showed he didn't really plan to take her seriously anyway. So, it was just as well for him that nothing followed it.
Once again he was watching the back of her head as she turned and walked toward the exit. He seemed to have a talent for making her leave. It was a talent that he would've been proud of had something about it not bothered him. He didn't like being told one thing and then having her act out in a different way. While he told himself he didn't care, he found it highly frustrating. He at least had enough self control to not go after her. Crossing his arms, Michel looked away and back toward the crowd.
