Michel straightened his posture. "That's not quite it either." He had been called a lot of different things by many different people, but he had never been called a prude before. After all, he was an uncouth Frenchman, and that wasn't really the assumption others made about him when he expressed a disinterest in most people. The idea bothered him more than it should've.
"Quit sending mixed signals," he insisted simply, raising his hand to flick her on the forehead much like one would do to a poorly behaved dog. That much would've just seemed playful to anyone else. There was a lot of hypocrisy in that statement, but he wasn't going to be the one to bring that up.
