To anyone who doesn't want to or can't go out and fight but still wants to help, Ben and I are setting up a station of sorts in the conference room (centralized location, good defense capabilities), and I know we could use the help of anyone who wants or needs something to do. Even if all you want to do is donate some supplies, that's fine.
It's also a place for anyone who doesn't want to be alone or in their apartment. So even if you don't have anything to donate or aren't in the right place for it, you can still come and just be around other people.
As for supplies, things we'll (most likely) need include, but aren't limited to...
Food -- Can be snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers, as examples) or can be home cooked food (I'm thinking along the lines of casseroles and anything good for large crowds). Or anything you think could be good. Quick bites also a necessity for anyone coming and going quickly who needs a quick bite but doesn't want to stay and sit to eat. Along the same lines, crock pots are good. Even just donating them would be more than helpful.
Water and Juice -- Pretty much what it says. Cups and bottles of juice, jugs of water, bottles of water. Soda is fine, but I think water, juice, and even sports drinks might be better. But whatever you've got that's non-alcoholic works.
Plates, Cups, and Silverware -- You can't have food and water without something to eat it off of and drink it from.
Blankets, Towels, and Pillows -- To rest on and for comfort. And if anyone doesn't want to return to their apartments, they can hunker down in the conference room. Sleeping bags a plus but not necessary.
Pet Food -- I know people have pets, and we can probably set up a space for them to be safe with food and water and food for those who are going out but don't want their pets to be alone.
Books and Games -- Any books. Card games. Board games. Puzzles. Anything to help keep people occupied.
First Aid Kits -- Basic ones. Any serious injuries, please seek appropriate medical help. But basic first aid kits are good to have for the simple stuff.
Toiletries
Trash Bags
Paper Towels
Duct Tape
Flashlights, Batteries, Candles, Matches
Radio
Coolers and Storage -- For the food.
Ice -- Although I hesitate on this. This may be more useful if we designate a few kitchens to house just ice in their freezers. So if you can pare your freezer for ice, let me know.
Anything else people think of that can be useful.
I'll update and adjust the list as needed.
Right now, we're going to make sandwiches, if anyone wants to help with that.
Also, does this place have a generator or a back up generator if the power does go out? Or is that something someone can work on? Just to be safe?

Would you want to help, too? I know I'd appreciateI'd like it And would Tia and Tony like to help as well?
