We're done. We posted our last submission today, and the snape_potter Daft Day snarry_swap is now officially over.

There's only one thing left to do: To say thank you to all of you! Thank you to everyone who commented and rec'd, thank you to the wonderful artists and authors who participated and gifted their recipients and all of us with their amazing creations, thank you especially to the pinch-hitters who helped us out of dire straits.

Thanks to those who have already turned in their creation. We are so very excited by what we've already received!

Seasons greetings everyone! We hope you are all diligently working on your gift creations. They are due December 15. Remember: They must be beta read if you are submitting a fic.

As the deadline approaches we have found that a few people have been unable to fulfill their commitment, so we come to you and ask if any of you would be willing to step up to the challenge? Do you want to add to the New Year's cheer by making a contribution of Snarry? We hope so! Please respond here with your email address or email us smutswap at gmail dot com if you want to participate in the Snarry Swap as an alternate.

Just a reminder to this year's snarry_swap participants that your creations are due one month from today.

Further, first time participants will not be granted extensions. You have three months, please plan accordingly. If, however, you realise you will not be able to meet your obligation, please let us know sooner than later. That way be can find an alternate to take over the prompt. We would be very grateful.

In that vein, we will likely need an alternate or two. Life happens, so alternates fill a valuable and important role in fests. We will need artists and writers so if you are willing to be an alternate please comment here letting us know whether you are willing to write or draw and what kinks/squicks you will NOT be willing to create.

We are so exceited for this year's fest to begin! We feel that, together, we all provide a very necessary and all too important service by starting the New Year off right with a brand new Snarry fic or art for all to enjoy. I can't think of anything better! :D

A little information for you as we gear up to get started. The rules for the event can be found on the snarry_swap profile page. The fest will be hosted here at this comm on Insane Journal. However, you may sign-up here or at smut_swap at LJ. It is not necessary for you to have an Insane Journal account to participate or to watch. But please do adhere to ratings rules. If a creation is CLEARLY marked as being NC-17, do not read it or look at it if you are underaged. Thank you. We know you will be the good, law abiding citizens you are and on your best behaviour. :-)

If you do not already know, this fest is a swap so that means that when you sign up to participate, you will submit a list of kinks and squicks and an optional prompt. So get to thinking about what you might want to receive to help you ring in the New Year Daft Day!

Another bit of news that you ought to know… while we want everyone to participate, if you signed-up for last year's fest and failed to turn in a creation, you cannot participate this year. No one likes to be jilted.

Enough of that dreariness! Now here's what we'd like from you right now… we have this lovely SnarrySwapMod account with few Snarry icons. There is so much free space for iconnage so why don't you help us out by submitting your favorite Snarry icon(s) for us to use? Be sure to let us know to whom to give credit!

I want to thank all of the participants of this smut_swap - authors, artists and watchers alike. Thank you for your enthusiasm. What I liked best about this event, was getting to start out a New Year with brand new Snarry!

It was a lot of work but well worth it. I hope to get a full Master List of all of the smut_swap creations for you soon.


NOTE: Authors whose fics are too long for LJ and are hosted elsewhere may want to find a new place to host their creation. We are happy to continue to host it indefinitely but heaven forbid I forget to renew the domain name, your fic will be lost. If you do decide to move where your fic is hosted, do let us know so we may change the links here in the comm and on the Master List.
