Happy Daft Day, [info]jadzialove!
Recipient: [info]jadzialove
Title: Closure
Author: [info]ravenna_c_tan
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Rimming and light bondage
Prompt/Summary: Harry is on the verge of becoming a full-fledged Auror when he learns Severus Snape is not dead. Relevant parts of the prompt are: "Rimming, light bondage, light spanking are great... Snarky (but reluctantly, deep down caring) Snape is Love and Mature Snarky-right-back Harry is even lovelier. First-time, or first time for them."
Author's Note: Jadzia said "I love a first time fic, especially if it's a sarcastic, snarky Severus who is not at all happy to see Potter when he presents himself for whatever reason of your choosing. If that doesn't work for you, pretty much if there's smut, I'm good." So how my smutty plot bunny developed into this plotty monster, I'm not sure.
Hope you love it, my dear! Thanks to the mods who put me on to pinch hit and then were infinitely patient while my work schedule exploded and the story grew and grew. Thanks also to my emergency beta-reader [info]clauclauclaudia.

What a great fic! I really enjoyed this one; the mystery of the dying Death Eaters, the slowly developing relationship between Snape and Harry, Snape's cynical Slytherin character, Harry's Gryffindor trust and courage, the hopeful ending - loved it. Thank you!

I liked this fic a great deal. Snape's characterisation, I think, was one of my favourite parts; he's still Slytherin to the core, but he has an edge of complexity that fascinates. You have a wonderful way of making him sarcastic but not pretentious, caring but not insipid (his letter to Harry touched me more than a conventional love letter would have).

You also crafted this story cleverly: the clues lie in wait, and the little peculiarities -- Snape's obvious physical deterioration, his dubious potion-making, the blindfolding -- make the mystery's conclusion believable.

Thank you for this lovely story. :)

How I loved your characters. And I am going to believe that Harry will search for Snape and find him eventually. They connected on a deeper level and I just can;t see Harry being satisfied until he finds him.

Great story telling!

Wow. This was really great. There are so many passages I could quote and so many things that I loved. I don't know where to start.

Snape's characterisation is a thing of beauty. I love his conversations with Harry and how he seems to have calmed down a great deal.

And the sex! Oh my God, was that hot! And funny! I laughed out loud at Snape's comment about searching for a way to describe what he feels without sounding cliché.

Really, really well done. :)

Marvelous work! I love the mystery and Severus and Harry's developing relationship (I had a feeling Severus was the one tracking down the Death Eaters). Wonderfully written (and hot).~Sophia

Ooooh, this was wonderful! Perfect first time. :D
Until the end I really thought Sev might stay. I wouldn't have expected him to use Harry, but it definitely makes sense! Though I was able to guess why all the DEs suddenly died. :P
I love that you didn't put a full stop to their relationship, but gave me hope that Harry might find Sev.

Oh yay! How wonderful!!

After all, dire news that feels like a broomhandle in the gut? Ought to come at 3am, not tea time.

You pulled me right in with that beginning. But if you hadn't, this would've done it:

"Remorse, Harry. Remorse." Snape considered a moment. "Not to mention revenge. I am not a noble-hearted man."

Excellent.

I loved Severus's snarkiness and loved the hurt/comfort element, I loved the mystery and yay! first time sex!, but I especially loved your Harry. Uncertain, but mature and perfectly 20, but by the end he was confident and determined. Delicious!

Thank you so much!!!

Lovely, lovely. Even after I guessed what Snape was doing, I enjoyed watching them interact and Harry connecting with himself and with Snape but totally, totally made of fail when it came to understanding this man.

And when he did understand, not being pissed off, but realising that this was a good thing and going after what he wanted.

Oh, so delicious. I love this. I knew Snape had to have something to do with the deaths. He's so sneaky. The sweetness was the best...and so hot!

Yay!!

I loved this. I had a feeling that it was Snape taking care of the Death Eater's and couldn't help but smirk. *g* And the ending, while a bit frustrating for because I wanted to see that reunion (nosy bird, ain't I?) was actually perfect for this fic.

Ah, the Mistress has not lost her touch!

Beautifully in character, hot, clever plot - and I particularly like the '5 aids to healing' - though I may never offer to 'kiss it better' without thinking of this story again...

Well. *blinkblink* I like that. They just played off each other really well, and while the ending was a surprise - though I guess maybe it shouldn't have been, knowing Severus - it was of the better sort, and quite upbeat. Hm. I'm really interested in a continuation of this, now. ^^

Oh, and the sex? Bloody hot! :D

What a fantastic fic. I loved Harry taking Severus the ingredients he needs . . . funny how the DEs kept dropping like flies. ;) The note at the end was very sweet. And I too will go forth believing an Auror as good as Harry will undoubtedly get his man. Great job.

You wrote fic!! I LOVE it.all, the building tension, the sex, Snape being the one killing the Death Eaters (which I figured out when it started to get obvious).

You dropped in a two way writing thing too, I love those.

The ending was just perfect, I was slightly worried when I realised Snape had left Harry, but the ending was wonderful, even if we don't see them together we know Harry always gets his man!!

"Harry did something he rarely did, which was he paused to think before speaking. "Do you really want to know?""

LOL!

Just wonderful!

At first I thought Hermione might have been the vigilante. You know, Hermione. Charms...

And I like that you don't badmouth Ginny. So many slashers make her a harpy. (Erm, that didn't quite come out right :D)
Tee Hee!

So glad you wrote this *happy sigh*

Now *that* was a fulfilling story. I am all full of happy contentment now. So much joy, mixed with softly dark suspense. Heh: Harry, mixed with Snape, I guess I'm saying!

I loved the "5 aids to healing" as a plot device (though the other 3 are??) ... it was a lovely, lovely way for Harry to get inside Snape's defences. Of course, Snape was getting inside his, too...

This is a story I will love re-reading again not just for the fun, the love, the sex, the dialogue and the description (subtle but very precise: just like Master Snape). I will also love looking at the clues, or savoring the progression. Like I was just thinking that Shacklebolt shows up at the beginning and the end. Was it when he visited Snape after he was found, that Snape decided to free Shacklebolt from the burden of renegade DE's - or worse alternative, unwanted publicity about their deaths? Is that when Snape planted in Shacklebolt's mind the hint that he'd like to see Harry?

My goodness, Severus Snape is devious. And Author, so are you! Beautifully written: thanks. And I will imagine a wonderful later reunion between them when Harry not only finds Snape in Thailand (or the place Mulciber flees to), but helps Snape too...

And may I say I heartily applaud your declining to write the sequel *cough*Epilogue in which you name and describe their children? Thank you for the open -- but joyously promising -- ending.

I really liked this. It had a nice and slow, believable build-up. I'll admit that I had a sneaking suspicion it was Snape . . . which means you placed clues well.

Lovely read - I'm sure I will reread again and again as well. ;)

O.O The ending completely caught me by surprise. I had been suspecting Ron and his unhealthy obsession.
But Snape tracking out the Death Eaters and using Harry to get poisons is so perfect! And the time when he wasn't in his room and made Harry think he'd gone to the wrong room...it all seems so obvious after the fact!

Wonderful story! Though I did see the Snape's-killing-the-Death-Eaters thing coming, I think I was just as shocked as Harry when Snape admitted he'd been using him. If it would have ended there I think I would have been depressed for days, lol, but I'm so glad you had Harry chase after him - Snape needs someone to care enough to knock down those walls of his! Lovely entry <3

Wondrous story! I see so many other reviewers noted the things I would have said, so I won't repeat their comments, but I adore the uplifting ending, particularly after the letter from Severus, in which I could literally feel a punch to my stomach.

Your sullen/obsessive Ron was too, too perfect!

I thought it was Severus killing off the other Death Eaters, but like a true mystery, your story managed to still surprise me with the hows.

Well done.
