- Being in a small group or pair means it is harder to attack you.
- A small group can surround the enemy that is attacking other death eaters.
- If you see another death eater in distress, it is your duty to come to their aid.
- If death eaters are partying, join! The more the merrier. What’s a revel without death eaters?
- Death eaters do not disrupt presentations with dueling, even if the Gryffindors are being annoying and deserve hexing.* (if the forum is a discussion panel, and they are bashing death eaters or the Dark Lord it is your duty to stand up and defend the position of death eaters. That is OK and could be quite fun. If you are in arts and crafts workshop, feel free to make Death Eater accessories.)
- Death Eaters should sit near each other if attending the same presentation.
- Groups of young female Hufflepuffs are fun to cosplay with, because they scream.
- Strategies for taking out the enemy sometimes involve strategic positioning. One group herds a target group in to a waiting, but hidden second group of death eaters.
- Do not touch the targets; we don’t want to actually physically harm the targets.
- Pose for photos.
- If the Dark Lord is around, you go to the Dark Lord.
- Have your wand handy at all times.

Map screwup *rolls eyes* If something can be screwed up, I'll manage it. Remember the map for Portus I posted. Well according to Google maps, there is a mall located .03 miles away from Portus. However Droxy let me know that no such mall was next to the hotel so I looked on Mapquest, which I should have done to begin with and she's right. The address that google has is incorrect and the Galleria happens to be 14 miles away. So, no mall with a food court *pouts*, we're all going to starve. I will be driving and I have loaded as many fast food places that I could find into my GPS, so if anyone wants to worship at the house of fast food with me, I'll be happy to drive. I'd be happy to put them together, especially as I am trying for a corner room with extra space and couch! Would anyone else be able to make a contribution? I will get the bags and hit the dealers room early for some yummy stuff! I'll screen comments so the bags will be a surprise (or try to :~>) - even if you can't contribute, drop a comment in so I can get an accurate count. please! Let the Countdown Begin! It is now Saturday, meaning in just 10 days I will be on a plane to Dallas!! WoooHooo! I think I'm getting a bit excited! To remind everyone of what has already been planned, the main Snarry Meet-up at this time is set for the Dessert Mingler Friday at 8pm. I arrive mid-afternoon on Wednesday and will spend the time I haven't volunteered to help out on Wednesday and Thursday in the main lobby. For those who are arriving early and want to hang-out, I'll be the one with the blue laptop computer. I'm bringing a couple of these lovely bags in case anyone is interested. They are awesome! Invitation to join the Death Eater Revel I just wanted to invite anyone going to Portus to join our Death Eater Revel. All you need is a mask and a cloak. So far we have 29 of us and we plan on going to the opening feast in full force. So when the doors are thrown open and all the death eaters walk in *G* that'll be us. We have some of the best Cosplayers leading the group, I'm sure everyone that went to New Orleans saw Stubble Snape AKA Droxy Snape. She started the group. So come on and join up. Snarry Meet-up We are getting down to the wire here as we are less than a month out! *bounces* All right, it sounds like everyone wants to combine the initial meet-up with the Dessert Mingler on Friday night. Unless someone has a better plan (my brain is in vacation mode), I would suggest meeting in the lobby between 7 - 7:45pm on Friday night and then going up for the goodies! I am hoping there will be a message board so that we can post a meet-up announcement! I have also given into the plea for volunteers and will be helping out here and there with Security. I did ths for Star Trek Cons in the past and it was a blast! I guess they still need people and are offering free stuff! If you would like more information and a volunteer questionnaire, please send an email to volunteers@portus2008.org. Anyone who is arriving early (I'l be there Wednesday) and wants to find me, drop me an e-mail at lilyseyes@msn.com and we can excange cell numbers! I can' wait to see all of you!! For anyone going to Portus Since I can't help but notice that I'm not the only one that will be trying to save money at Portus, I made a map as many fast food places that are within walking distance from the hotel. I also put a few hotels on the map that are within walking distance. If you hit the button "Places of interest" you can get it to show grocery stores and bars etc... I also put a marker up for the galleria mall, it is within walking distance and has Taco bell, McDonald's, Starbucks, Auntie Anne's just to name a few. Snarry Meet-Up? This is a new asylum to hopefully organize a Snarry meet-up at Portus2008 in Dallas in July. Thursday morning/afternoon sounds like good time to hang-out and Friday evening from 6pm on sounds possible. The Dessert Mingler is from 8pm until 10pm - but two hours of sweets would make anyone sick! Any suggestions? Current Mood: excited |
