Since these are being posted by the mods, not the authors (as is befitting an anonymous fest! *grin*) I know you won't automatically get comments for these- so I wanted to let you know I've got several posted on part 1. I went a bit overboard, I'm afraid, but honestly, I'm restraining myself. xD So! *off to read part two before I die of anticipation*
Hahaha. Hadn't suddenly become fond of children, hm? Even good at lying to himself, our Severus. *grin*
It amused him though. When he thought his own depravity had reached rock bottom, his insane mind would yet find another level to sink to. He was nothing but an aging, lonely, pathetic homosexual, and Potter was a shining, young, beautiful hero and Quidditch star.
Who was at least bisexual.
And beautiful.
Oh, right then. Awwwwww. Sad! *pets poor, sweet, insecure Severus* And such a good job of it you're doing, too! You can be both strong and insecure, and Severus is definitely both. *sigh* So sad for poor Severus. But they'll be together in the end.......right? xDD <3
Then a cushion flew through the air and must have landed on Potter's face because Severus could hear a faint "Oomph.”
"You are an idiot, Harry," Ginny said.
Potter sat heavily beside Ginny and then leaned his head against her shoulder. She patted him.
"I thought you were my friend." Harry sighed. "I just wanted to have a family."
"You have a family! And you know I love you. But I would like to marry my ponce, ok?" Hehehe. Again, love that Ginny's human! And that they're friends, here- not all ended marriages turn into constant cat fights. I love hte interaction between Harry and Ginny, and that Severus expects to have to go in and break up a duel but it's just a pillow! *grin*
Later in the evening Severus was going down to the living room when he stumbled over a toy dragon or car that had been placed strategically (by James, no doubt) on the steps.
Before he fell Potter appeared out of nowhere and held him.
"Careful." he said.
"Thank you." he answered, feeling Potter's breath on his cheek and his left ear. "You may let go of me now."
Potter obeyed and stepped back.
Severus didn't know what exactly happened - only that Potter didn't move away. And neither did Severus. They both just stared at each other.
Finally Severus thinned his lips and swept past Potter, feeling ridiculously light headed and dizzy.
Ooooooooooh!! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *bounces up and down ecstatically* Yes!!! I love that James (the Gryffindor! hehe) put the toy there on purpose, and Harry catching him and them just standing there and....*sigh* Wonderful. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. *happy sigh*
Potter, heroic as always, pretended to have "errands" to run in Diagon Alley and insisted on going together. Obviously he didn't want to hurt Severus’ pride. He could have told Potter that he didn't mind his protection but refrained. It was endearing to watch Potter attempting to be Slytherin. Severus had a weakness for people who could not lie. He felt safe with them.
Awwwwwwww. I love how there are times when they both think they know each other better than they really do, and that the other notices it. Love that Harry is trying to protect Severus' pride, and I love even more that Severus doesn't really need it! And gosh, those last two lines there- can't stop rereading them for some reason. Just...wow. That's just wonderful, and powerful, and Severus, and..... *stares at lines* I have a lot of love for those lines. *hearts lines*
Severus could not decide if he wanted to shove him away or pull him closer. Yes!!! The insecurity, the indecision, Harry immediately stepping up to protect and take care of him.....*sigh* I think you're my new favorite person. If that's not too fangirlish? *grin*
