Thank you, MysteryArtist! I find any artwork to be just wonderful, since it is a skill that I lack - I can't even do a straight line with a ruler, as even my former students will attest to. The gray/blue/black coloring, with the "pops" of color, like the green in Harry's eyes, the details - Snape's arse and cock, Harry's expression . . . and yes, the "creatureness" . . . ugh, now I wish I had time to dive in and write something to match this pic!

(*writes a note to find myself a nice, high-quality printer in a discrete location to print a copy that I can hide in my always-present-paperwork-collection . . . I'm not letting my crappy inkjet near this!*)

I love all the little details -- body contours, water ripples, translucent wings -- but my favorite is Harry's green eye. And the monochromatic scheme really sets the mood.
