I absolutely agree with you. The Severusness of Severus is incredible in this fic. Same idea as yours from me about this Lily.
I think Albus is absolutely right again - in his usual twisted way. Only Lily had to do it and to "welcome" Severus (arrgh, I thought I would die of compassion for Severus, seeing how she acts then). From the start I've been suspicious about Albus giving the "telly" to her (could not be for nothing) but I especially love how until the very end he is not sure it will work. He is what he is in the books : manipulating, still giving a room for personal choices to the others.
