That was a beautifully rendered story with Lily echoing a little of the reader's own voyeuristic sentiments toward the two. The premise, which initially did sound a little cracky, was wonderful and the plurality of futures was the best use of the epilogue I've seen. You juggled multiple timelines, futures, lives (and afterlives) while also developing Lily's character and her relationship with baby Tom... I have no idea how you managed all that at once. I also really enjoyed the snark. This part killed me: "Your friends will be delighted to know that you've decided on a high-risk career of banging your old potions master into a state of respectability," Snape says, removing Harry's glasses with deliberate care. "I expect that will go over like a lead Dementor."
