Snarry Holidays Sign-Ups!
Welcome to the sign up post for Snarry Holidays 2008! We will have open sign-ups from August 5th through August 12th, or until we reach our participant cap of 80, whichever is first. Everyone is eligible to sign up, provided that they did not drop out of the last round. (Please feel free to check with the mods at snarryholiday@gmail.com if you have any questions about your eligibility.)

Genres, kinks, requests: Jealousy. Infidelity. Hot snarky sex. Toe sucking. Erotic biting. Orgasm denial. Kissing in copious amounts. And plot. Plot is sometimes better than hot sex. Sometimes. *G*
Squicks, dislikes, cautions: No Mpreg. No overbearing fluff. I enjoy romance if it's done correctly. What does this mean exactly? Dysfunction, baby. I do like a happy ending, but dammit, I need struggle and conflict along the way. Nothing should come easy for Snape and Harry. They need to work twice as hard at happiness than everyone else. Also Ginny = ICK
Optional Prompt/s (up to three): Honestly, I don't require a specific scenario, but I do prefer stories where Snape's brought back to life in a unique way. AR/AU's are great, too. I'm so not picky, so long as there's a compelling story to tell.

Other info: I should make mention of the fact that I kink very hard on well-written Snape characterisations. This should not only include his voice, but his livelihood as well. Snape is sexiest when he's Potionscrafting. And Harry thinks so, too.

Also have a craving for amnesia fic. Love unusual/well-thought out magic. Love hot, can't wait to get their clothes off sex. I'd love to see new twists on animagus fics.
Squicks, dislikes, cautions: No Snape or Harry death fics, no unhappy or vague endings. No non-con, rape, dub-con or humiliation. No dark fic. No infidelity--please, this is a HUGE squick of mine in Snarry! The usual squicks like no roman showers or scat, no slutty Harry.
Optional Prompt/s (up to three): Amnesia, Animagus fic, cross-dressing is always good, but really, don't stress about the prompts--I'd just like a fun, good read!

Genres, kinks, requests: I love focus on characterization, and, if you can swing it, a plot-driven narrative. If you feel comfortable exploring the smutty side of things, gradually developing sexual relationships are delicious. Happy endings are fantastic; if the story doesn't go that direction, something at least hopeful at the close would be great. You don't have to make Ron & Hermione a major part of the story , but I would like for Harry to be on good terms with each of those characters. In terms of *very* specific story-category types I adore but do not at all expect (so ignore if this isn't your bag, but if you like it, go for it), I'm all for forced-marriage fics, surprise!lust for one another rather than long-standing crushing, de-aging in which Snape is a teenager or time-travel in which Harry interacts with younger!Snape, amnesia!character fics, fork-in-the-road fics (in which one thing/action changes the direction of the story so that the character(s) then have to re-adjust to this new situation while everyone else acts as though everything is completely normal). Just fun scenarios I enjoy -- don't put yourself into a tailspin trying those scenarios if you don't like them/feel wary of writing them.
Squicks, dislikes, cautions: non-magical AUs; major character death; crucio or imperio during sex or relationship; needless bashing of major characters; hateful humiliation; over-emphasis on sex toys; kink involving enemas, vomit, blood, scat, urine, necrophilia; multiple-partner non-con or dub-con; hardcore kinks like extreme BDSM, bestiality, sounding; characters under fourteen in sexual situations; ongoing infidelity; threesomes. No Death-Eaters-Win scenarios or narratives featuring characters losing their magic. I'd rather not see already-established-relationship opening the story, though if you want to write a story in which the characters *once* were in a relationship and now no longer are (and your fic explores that, and then the build to a relationship again) that's fine.
Optional Prompt/s (up to three): Sort of more atmospheric than specific -- I hope that these might help inspire the seeds for a story you would enjoy writing! (1) When Teddy Lupin disappears, Harry will leave no stone unturned to find him. (2) Harry returns for a seventh-year at Hogwarts post-DH (OR teaches at Hogwarts post-DH), and begins meeting a compelling stranger during Hogsmeade weekends. (3) Due to a tiny and bizarre addendum to a law passed by the Wizengamot in a midnight session, if Harry wants to avoid marrying the current Minister of Magic, he'd better find a substitute spouse quickly.

Strengths: Narrative and character driven fic (though also happy to write smutty scenes). I write humor and dialogue well, but I also like working with mixed-genre storylines (angst/difficult scenarios with humorous interludes or comic relief moments, humor focused stories that have some trying or sad situations for the characters).
Squicks: I'd prefer not to write anything mainly focused on hardcore kinks (enemas, vomit, scat, urine, necrophilia, extreme BDSM, explicit torture, prolonged and numerous bouts of non-con). But otherwise I'm pretty flexible. Oh, though I'm totally fine writing characters as flawed or in conflicted situations in which they at times behave poorly, I would like to avoid any requests that require character bashing, so just no "write Ginny as a drunken publicity-mad whore!" type scenarios if at all possible.
