Original poster: snarrymod
Your Name (lj and/or Penname): diagonalist
Your Team: Postwar
1. What made you decide to join the 2007 Snarry Games?
I participated in the 2006 games and remember all the excitement and fun! Plus, my team won - I have to be right in there to see what happens this time.
2. Which Harry Potter character is your favourite to write? To read? (any POV)
Ah, I'm afraid I have to go with the boring answer of Harry. I always tend to love the protagonist of a story best, and Harry is so easy to work with. I like the fact that he didn't grow up in the Wizarding world, so there are lots of things you can introduce that will be new to him. Plus, the whole Voldemort thing and all Harry's anger makes it very easy to imagine h/c scenarios.
3.What brought Snarry to your attention? Was it a specific event/fic/picture?
I first got into the fandom by idly reading *hides head in hands* Snape/Hermione. Of which there wasn't much at the time, so there I was, doing a google search, and Walking the Plank came up. Through random clicking I read a few snarrys, and somehow got hooked. Actually, the first story that made me think Snarry might be my new obsession was rushlight75's Rite of Passage, which was moving, sweet and hot whilst keeping the characters true to themselves.
4. What is your stance on "Quidditch-toned thighs"?
I don't really know what effect gripping a broomstick would have on one's thighs. Or what my opinion of it should be. I can't remember if I've ever used the phrase myself. I suppose I like to think that Harry has nice thighs. And I can't imagine Snape being displeased by them...
5. Your own fanfiction (any fandom, any pairing): What do you think is your most underappreciated work? What do you think is your best work? Would you link them here for us?
Ack, you can't ask me things like that! I have no idea whether it's underappreciated, but I quite like this one: Dream of thyself (Snape/Snape). And I think my best work is one of my more recent: Social Cues (Snape/Harry - postwar).
ETA: "Dream of thyself" is not locked.
6. In your opinion, will Severus Snape turn out to be 'Dumbledore's Man' in Book 7, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
Yes.
7. What do you think of podcasting, the newest fad in fandom? Would you like to hear one of your own stories, or one of your favourites voiced via .mp3?
I think it would be really weird. I certainly couldn't bring myself to say half the things in my stories aloud, and I don't really fancy anyone else talking about the character's cocks and what they do with them either. I'm more about the written word, me.
8. What pairing have you never written that you would love to try one day? (Any fandom)
I think I've tried everything in HP that I want to. I'd love to get off my behind and go join in with the Stargate Atlantis crowd - there isn't nearly enough Rodney/Carson out there, though I do love Rodney/Radek as well
9. What's your favourite kink to read?
I have to pick one? That's just cruel. I guess slight coercion or non-con, where the character doesn't want to have sex but then enjoys it immensely anyway.
10. How do you feel about participating in this year's Snarry Games?
Totally bouncing off the trees! Now if only I could translate that energy into a word
count...
Thank you, diagonalist!
Stay tuned for more Champion Interviews tomorrow, and a special Valentine's Day Crack!Art. *grins*
