CHAMPION INTERVIEW # 7 - Alisanne!
Original poster: snarrymod
Your Name (lj and/or Penname): alisanne
Your Team: Team Postwar
1. What made you decide to join the 2007 Snarry Games?
I signed up in the lottery last year, but, sadly, I lost. I had such fun participating in the closing ceremony drabbles though, that I decided that I would do it this year if invited, and I was!
2. Which Harry Potter character is your favourite to write? To read? (any POV)
Hands down, Severus Snape. He’s so smart, very erudite, and hilariously snarky. He’s followed closely by the rest of the Slytherins, who I imagine also have very well honed wits.
3. What brought Snarry to your attention? Was it a specific event/fic/picture?
Mmm. In fact, I was a Clex shipper (Clark Kent/Lex Luthor in the Smallville fandom) and all my favorite authors were deserting for Harry Potter. I simply couldn’t understand it, and a friend said that the most popular slash pairings were Harry/Snape and Harry /Draco. I avoided Harry/Snape for a long time until someone referred me to The Tea Series and I was hooked. It took a while for me to start writing in the fandom, probably about six months. So all the blame goes to Telanu, I guess. *g*
4. What is your stance on "Quidditch-toned thighs"?
Ha! Um, I suppose Harry’s (and Draco’s) thighs probably are fairly toned, but I am trying to get away from such descriptors. *wracking my brain to remember if I’ve ever used the term* Unfortunately, I suspect I have used it. May I beg forgiveness here?
5. Your own fanfiction (any fandom, any pairing): What do you think is your most underappreciated work? What do you think is your best work? Would you link them here for us?
I think my most underappreciated work is The Road to Hell, a Tom/Riddle/Peter Pettigrew fic I wrote, mainly because it’s such a rarepair that there’s not a large audience for it.
The work I’m probably the proudest of is my multichaptered HP/DM fic, The Spy Who Loved the Boy Who Lived, just because I wasn’t sure I could write a novel length story. It’s probably the one story that I can stand to re read without cringing too much.
6. In your opinion, will Severus Snape turn out to be 'Dumbledore's Man' in Book 7, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
Absolutely. First of all, JKR has pretty much told us he’s “good”. In addition, I think he’s invested enough into DD’s plan and Harry’s well-being that his recent apparent betrayal is all a ruse.
7. What do you think of podcasting, the newest fad in fandom? Would you like to hear one of your own stories, or one of your favourites voiced via .mp3?
I haven’t really participated a lot. I’m a bit of a technophobe *blush* If I could figure out how, I would love to hear one of my, or one of my favorite stories voiced via .mp3.
8. What pairing have you never written that you would love to try one day? (Any fandom)
A few days ago I might have said Remus/Neville, but I just wrote one of those, so... I have just signed up to do a 50_smutlets table and my choice of characters is the Slytherins. It’s my goal to feature every known Slytherin in the stories, so we’ll see.
9. What's your favourite kink to read?
Mmmm, skirt!pr0n, hands down. There’s just something about those guys in skirts (or kilts, nothing wrong with kilts!) that just gets my blood going.
10. How do you feel about participating in this year's Snarry Games?
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity, even more so since the whole mess with the name, which drew us all much closer together, I think.
Go Snarry!
Thank you, alisanne!
Stay tuned for more interviews tomorrow!
