2009 Snarry Mixed Art and Fic Games Medal Ceremonies!
Today we recognize the hard-won achievement and dedication of both authors and artists and their teams who strive for excellence in fanworks and Snarry. I know that every Champion worked hard for the good of their team and they all deserve highest marks for their efforts. We were all lucky to have won something during these Games. We designed this year's Games to encourage boldness, to try new things and set new standards, and we feel that all the Champions answered the bell admirably.

However, in the competition we set out to do, the Snarry Games Judges (you, the readers) have voted to score these teams, both having shown up to these Games with the most stellar of performances, allowing one to edge out the other for Gold.

	The scores were very close and that's how it should be. The entries I managed to read/rec were all marvelous (and I am determined to complete the remaining 25+ in the next few weeks.) Such richness, complexity, and depth of emotion. The words--the art--they're all etched in my mind right next to (and, in many instances, superceding) canon. Snarry didn't start out as one of my preferred pairings, but you all have made it so real for me and so very, very moving. [Bows deeply before the authors and artists and mods and betas and Britpickers and teamakers and team captains and lurkers and darn-but-he's-gotten-under-my-skin Severus]
