Team Snitch Entry (FIC) "Sweet Surrender" by Gin_Tonic
Title: Sweet Surrender
Author: [info]gin_tonic
Team: Snitch!
Genre(s): Fusion
Prompt(s): Eat Cake, Consequences
Rating/Warnings: NC-17 Highlight if you wish to know: **minor character death (NOT Snape or Harry)**
Word Count: ~25,000
Betas: [info]rons_pigwidgeon and [info]drachenmina who deserve loads of praise and presents for helping me out this fast and this wonderful! Thank you two so much!
Author Notes: This is a fusion between Pushing Daisies and HP, which means that the characters eat a lot of pie. And I want to mention that writing this made me incredibly hungry…
Thanks to Team Snitch (aka The Team of Awesomeness) and especially [info]joanwilder for all the hard work! Have virtual pies, everyone!

Summary: More than a year has passed since Harry left the Wizarding world. Now he's known as the Pie Maker, but his quiet life is about to be disrupted by an unexpected visitor and a murder.

Huzzah! Loved this, my dear. I don't know Pushing Daisies but I enjoyed it tremendously. Great plot with the murder mystery, loved how Harry lived like a Muggle, Severus's determination to figure out what the deal with Harry was, the case, and then a 'cure'. The voyeuristic wanking was GUH! so so hot. Excellent work!

I love Pushing Daisies and this is inspired! And I love your solution to their problem (one that Chuck and Ned will never get *sob*). Thank you for this!

I really love this. The build up of the romance between Harry and Snape was absolutely wonderful. I especially love that Harry's made a living from making pies. And that Severus seems to love Harry's pies, too, hehe.

Oh, I adored this fic! I was a big fan of Pushing Daisies and hated to see it canceled, so it was an absolute delight to see that universe mixed with my favorite pairing. I'm glad Snape was able to 'cure' Harry!

You had me scared silly that there would never be a "Cure" for Harry. You made me very Happy! :D

I was wondering, as I've never seen Pushing Daisies, is this a leftover from Harry surviving the AK?

Very wonderful work. I don't know Pushing Daisies beyond what I've seen in trailers and what not (though I rather like that the fusion was a subtle one, lol). I love the dynamics between Severus and Harry, and Cod was great too. A perfect ending!~Sophia

Lovely story. I liked Pushing Daisies and thought you integrated the two storylines very well. Good job.

Even had I not gone and read the Pushing Daisies synopsis, I still would've enjoyed this; it stood very well on its own, but you managed to really preserve the essential elements of the original premise, so you really nailed your genre. I liked how you sneaked these words in there: "A fusion of two favourite things was good, wasn't it?"

OMG, I have a new kink: CLING FILM SEX!! Just the idea of it was so erotic, and the mutual wanking session with them watching each other was HOT.

Lovely little mystery in there as well, and I liked Harry's initial dilemma, of whether or not to bring Snape back to life (I also grinned at who fell in his stead), and it was so Harry that he'd feel so terrible about what he'd done, that he'd leave the Wizarding world.

What an enjoyable read! You did an amazing job with it, Snitch!

Awww!!! I loved it! Though I've never see the show... I wanted to punch Cod, he's so annoying!! The cling wrap... clever!

That synchronised wanking scene was so hot! ;)

(I've always avoided watching "Pushing Daisies" and was apprehensive how things would work out, but I needn't have worried - you resolved Harry's problem very nicely in the end.)

This is a lovely warm fic (pies! I love the pies!) and a delightful ending. Very enjoyable and the sex was hot! I'll never look at cling film in quite the same way again....

I was a big "Pushing Daisies" fan and you just nailed it. The tone, the atmosphere, the characters - everything. I loved how you incorporated the "cling wrap" solution. It's too bad the real Chuck and Ned did not get their problem solved before cancellation. Your pies are inspired. I mean it - I always had to have pie when I watched the show and your story made me need it too. In fact I'm making a Blackberry Cobbler today because of it. Harry is a natural Pie-maker.

I would so love to see more in this world!!!

I never saw "Pushing Daisies", but I throughly enjoyed this fic. Harry as the owner of "The Pie Hole" was inspired - nice to know Aunt Pet was good for something. And Snape - the way to his heart WAS through his stomach.

Will never be able to look at a roll of cling wrap the same way again.

Well done, fellow Snitch!

You did an outstanding job of bringing HP to the Pushing Daisies world! The fic was just like an episode, with the murder scene voiceover and the suspect interviews and everything. But ♥ ♥ ♥ for "fixing" Harry's problem! I love the happy Snarry ending.

</i>A fusion of two favourite things was good, wasn't it?

Meta! \o/

You really nailed the fusion genre, but I'm so glad that Severus was able to correct their problem! This was a nice blend of romance and mystery, and the cling wrap and mutual wankfest was clever and hot. I love the fact that Umbridge was the price for bringing Severus back - poetic justice there! Nice story :)

This is excellent - such a lively and interesting plot, with gorgeous romance, a touch of angst and the UST... the UST is amazing!
The elements of Pushing Daisies blends harmoniously with the HP verse - really well-written, and such lovely enjoyable reading.

The facts are these...

I love Pushing Daisies, I only just saw the first season. This was a fantastic fusion and I'm so glad they got a happy ending! Harry as the pie maker is great and same with Snape as dead girl. The use of cling wrap makes me smile, I always thought it was a bit risky though. Cling wrap can be pretty flimsy, I'd be worried about it breaking. But desperate times! Thanks for the great read!

I enjoyed your fic very much. The ending was great. It's a pity they can't use this for the actual TV series.

Haven't seen Pushing Daisies, but have seen some trailers of it. But even if you knew nothing about it, you would still be able to follow this fic.

Wonderful, adored the happy ending :)

Wonderful fusion! YAY for the Pie Maker, Harry and all his wacky adventures! Really great work on capturing the mood and tone of the series and introducing magic slowly. Severus, Cod and Olive were so much fun!

(and I'm so happy you gave them a cure! *phew*)

Well done, teamie!
