Team Snitch Entry (ART): "The Life Debt" by ChaosRaven
Title: The Life Debt
Artist: [info]chaosraven
Team: SNITCH!
Genre(s): Literary/Historical
Prompt(s):Death Shall Have No Dominion, Stormy Weather
Rating/Warnings/Kinks: G. Implied violence.
Artist's Notes/Disclaimers/Thank you to: I was inspired by a recent viewing of "Sense and Sensibility", however I thought Snape made a much better Marianne than Harry. Small apology to Voldemort for implying he is Willoughby in this scenario as Willoughby is a much bigger bastard. Special thanks to Ang Lee and the Harry Potter wikia for various references. And of course, thanks to my teammates for rockin it.
Media used: Painter, Photoshop
Archiving/Usage permission, including the Tribute Video (only after the polls have closed and medals have been awarded): Any use is fine with credit. If you do something awesome with it, please let me know!

The dark mark in the sky is what really makes this pic for me. Awesome job!

I just LOVE your Harry here! I don't think I've ever seen him drawn like this. He's divine!

Love their period clothes, the way McG is attending to Severus, the ghost of the Mark in the sky. Nice work.

Small apology to Voldemort for implying he is Willoughby in this scenario as Willoughby is a much bigger bastard.

LOL I loved that.

Oh, lovely! And the dark mark in the sky is so subtle, it made me shiver when I saw it. It's such a clever touch!

I love that you changed it up from Snape carrying Harry, and the dark mark in the sky as others have pointed out. Great colors too. Lovely!

I love the colors and the clothes and the sky and McGonagall and Snape's face and Harry's... and... it's just beautiful. Wow.

This is gorgeous. As much as I like Harry and Severus in this, it is the background scenery that took my breath away. Voldemort (Willoughby) is so eerie - I love it. And the tree and overall foggy feel to the piece gives it a surreal quality that I love to see in art.

what a tender and urgent moment. I love the strength and tenderness with which Harry holds him, the dark mark, and the dreadful wounds.
Ond that oh, so English weather... I can feel the damp!

Awwwww, anyone who Austen-izes Snarry gets a standing ovation from me. Harry looks like the epitome of a nineteenth century gentleman here, and I really like that he's so uniquely drawn for this. Snape as Marianne...well, it fits, because Harry has to be the hero here, doesn't he? Snape will need even more saving, judging by your creepy Morsmordre in the sky.

Really like the colors, Snape and McGonagall's faces, and what a definite nailing of your genre and prompts!

Lovely piece of art that I'll look at often!

Wow. I love the vivid colors and the subtle shading. The sky is awesome. Both our boys look ready to drop. Splendid use of the prompts too. Excellent job.

Most excellent work. I like the atmosphere (with the tree barely visible through the fog/mist) and the Dark Mark in the sky. I also love the way you've drawn Snape and Harry and their clothes. Well done!~Sophia

Really gorgeously drawn picture! Harry and Snape feel like contemporaries here, which is an interesting touch. The dark mark in the sky gave me a shiver. *brr*
Poor Snape looks so hurt. *pets him*
I hope Harry takes good care of him. :)

I love the film too! Tought I think Harry is more Marianne, maybe because I like Harry in the bottom, and Alan made the film...

The art is amazing.

Thanks!

Not only is this wonderfully drawn, but it is also a long overdue reference! I love the men, the way Harry is holding Severus' and S' own face. But Minerva here is just drawn so beautifully.

S&S is something scene so often in Snarry fandom, but it never made any sense for Harry to be the one led astray. This is so much better. Plus, I love that Harry saves Severus. We need more of hero!Harry in the fandom. Severus needs rescuing too.

Also, thank you for the plot bunny. : ) *big hugs*
