Wonderful! *applause*

The landscape in the first one captures the time and place beautifully. The greyscale line art is also quite lovely -- Severus's eyebrow is to die for. :)

Your use of colours in the last panel is masterful. I love your use of blending to create shadows and muscle. The tenderness and devotion between the two is just beautiful. *imagines all the lovely h/c smex in the tent that night* *fans self*

I can really get the feel of the time and place from your art. It's really fantastic. The posing of the characters and the bodies, as well, is quite excellent. Great job!

Oh wow! You really captured the bleakness of war in the beautifully drawn black and white panels and then in the last one... *gulps*
The use of color is fabulous there, the looks on their faces and the way Snape is cradling Harry is perfect. *sigh*
Really stellar work, hon!

Lovely work. I love the black and white panels and then the color at the end. Snape comforting Harry (or vice versa) is something I greatly love in Snarry art/fic. Well done!~Sophia

You did a fine piece of work here, using the Sharpe series for inspiration. The black and white panorama led me through the dull dreary landscape of war, which makes everyone, especially soldiers, unremarkable and expendable. But inside the tent, where the color of the uniform no longer matters, and people become people again, there can be comfort and tenderness and a reminder that what's best in a man is still intact.

Your final panel is breathtaking. Thanks for tackling something so different and doing such a brilliant job of it.

the saying, 'a picture is worth a thousand words' is so true here, and the last panel in color is very unexpected!! Nicely done!

I love the top panel - the panorama of the battlefield is so bleak (and I have a thing for dead trees).
And then the transition from field to camp, focusing in on our heroes, drawing us in to their personal space and only once inside the tent do we get the warmth and comfort of color.
Very satisfying. Beautiful work.

I really like the 2nd and 4th panels with their faces, you captured a lot of intensity and emotion in their expressions. I love the transition from the grayscale to the colour.

Lovely contrast them being together coloured, while the battlefield is black and white.

The first panel really sums up 'Sharpe' for me,him and his men coming up over the ridge to find death and destruction.
Very nice detailing on the uniform and the last panel is a lovely Snarry moment.
Well done.

Beautiful work! This really evokes the grim mood of the long Peninsular War, which is then relieved by the softly colored scene of comfort and love. *sniffles* I hate seeing our boys get hurt even when they're comforted. Poor Harry! He looks a real "stripling" in this. Snape definitely has the 500-mile look in his eyes, like he's seen it all. --But only wants to look at Harry!

Lovely line work!

This is one of those that is so powerful, it really grabs you at first. Then you have to go back and study it to get all the details. The first picture with the battlefield sets the tone for the rest. The contrast between the first part in b&w and the second in color is wonderful. The caring feeling between them really shows in that final panel too.

Amazing how you can say so much with just images. The panels are all great, and I love the sequence of battlefield-camp-tentflap-inside. A stroke of genius, the colour in the last panel. I love it.

the tenderness in the last picture hurts almost as much as seeing the injuries, but in a good kind of way... it's making my heart ache for them... I love the contrast between the first black/white pictures and the colored one... well done!
