This was a perfect journey down Snarry Lane! All the right bits and pieces we love to read were in this story. We had the first steps into a post-Hogwarts world, plots and more plots at the Ministry, and injustice for the alter hero of our hearts; we had mystical creatures, strange rituals and a sub-culture where darkness threads through the light of day. And running through all that, we had Harry, luckless and ill-fated, managing to embroil himself in the dregs of the wizarding world, towing Severus – resplendent as the white knight – along behind him.
You cast both of them flawlessly: Snape was the wonderfully snarky, proud and unapproachable guardian, and Harry his foil as the ingenuous, slightly clueless hero. What more can a girl ask for? *sighs* Nothing, this girl, for one, is replete.
The prompts and genre were hammered, glued and completely nailed down.
