I loved the ritual and that darn bat flitting everywhere! Most of all, I love Harry challenging Severus at the end!

I was excited to see this story post as I just love it! I think you did a great job with your genre and prompts, and your characterizations were well done (Snape still stalking watching out for Harry and Harry getting fed up with all the machinations around him).

"During the ritual I will have to fuck you, Potter. You being so relaxed will make my task much easier – when I plunder your arse." I loved this line - it made me crack up laughing. Well done, teammate!

Oh man, poor George with his half conversation! The wind just kind of got knocked out of me when I read that.

As to the Snarry - oh, it was lovely! I loved how they interacted with each other. And the ritual was so hot!!! Well done :)

Very grand work. I love how Snape was constantly keeping an eye on Harry. Fletcher is amusing too, haha. I really like the ritual and the ending is perfect as well.~Sophia

Snape holed up in Knockturn Alley, hoarding those clippings, consorting with Mundungus--what a great setting for the rest of this story. I don't usually like vampire fic, but I really did enjoy this one; the writing was superb, that scene in the Club with McLaggen had me chewing at a nail a bit--I just knew something bad would come out of it.

Loved the ritual in the cellar, and Snape being the one to 'liberate' poor, afflicted Harry (yes, it's a cliché, but isn't it one we all really love?), and Harry riding in to the rescue at the end had me chewing at another nail again (great action scene!). And it was so satisfying, that last bit in Snape's room, where Harry sees what's really been Snape's obsession all along.

You did a fantastic job. I have no fingernails left *g*, but I'm not complaining.

I like the many little details, like George still talking in half sentences or Snape´s coffee ritual. And I love how Severus still protects Harry.

I love all the story, begining by the tittle and at the end with the similarity between Lily's letter and Harry's press cutting.

I love Vamp! fics, and mentor! fics too. I love your Snape, always protecting Harry...

Thanks for it!!!

MARTA

That was so wonderful! I thought your Snape was perfect - obsessive and protective and snarky *happy sighs* Poor George, that was so moving. Harry was wonderful as well, ooh that ritual scene was gorgeous!

This was a perfect journey down Snarry Lane! All the right bits and pieces we love to read were in this story. We had the first steps into a post-Hogwarts world, plots and more plots at the Ministry, and injustice for the alter hero of our hearts; we had mystical creatures, strange rituals and a sub-culture where darkness threads through the light of day. And running through all that, we had Harry, luckless and ill-fated, managing to embroil himself in the dregs of the wizarding world, towing Severus – resplendent as the white knight – along behind him.

You cast both of them flawlessly: Snape was the wonderfully snarky, proud and unapproachable guardian, and Harry his foil as the ingenuous, slightly clueless hero. What more can a girl ask for? *sighs* Nothing, this girl, for one, is replete.

The prompts and genre were hammered, glued and completely nailed down.

Wonderful! I just love Severus's postwar life, holed up in his tiny flat keeping an eye out for news of Harry. Great descriptions of the vampire's thrall, the ritual (guh, guh, GUH!), and their final destruction of him. I think both their characterizations are PERFECT. Excellent work, my dear.

I loved this story! The thing I liked best (except for the pr0n, of course ;)) was that neither Harry nor Snape was a vampire, but a third, authentic party. You described the lure so good, that I could almost feel it too. Also, George's half conversation is heartbreaking... I had to think for a few seconds, why there was something missing - very nice touch. I enjoyed it a lot, great job!

Wow, you packed a lot of story into 14,250 words! I love your obsessed Snape, and obviously, Harry does still need protection! And that pesky bat! I'm glad they finally dusted the vamp. Loved the ending! Well done!

Wonderfully played, teammate! I adore vampire fics, and love to see how each person twists the legends just so to make it work for their own story. The plot for this was perfect! The post-war Wizarding World was not all hearts and flowers, and it was great to see that you took the time make make it plausible with the little details that stand out so much.

George's half conversations, Hermione going back for her parents, Snape's transference of one obsession to another, and Harry still trying to fit in were all excellent elements of a truly fantastic fic, and an awesome read that I will come back to again.

Well done!

Thanks for the story, it has (almost) everything I like in a Snarry - obsessively protective Snape; slightly clueless Harry, who attracts troubles, some intrigues (like nepotism here) and a RITUAL!!!
George talking in half-phrases was sad and touching - and just priceless.

PS Never liked that twit McLaggen.

Guh! That ritual just gets sexier each time I read it. It's so easy to picture and it does make for a gorgeous mental image.

I also really love how Snape keeps protecting Harry and how he secretly loves him, but tries to keep it secret. There's something undeniably sweet about how he keeps newspaper clippings of Harry locked away in a special box. I love it!
