What a great story! Really interesting and unique plot, and great use of the prompts. When I saw Pride and Prejudice at first I thought you'd do something Austen-esque, but even without it, I liked the way you interwove the themes into the whole story.
I love it when Snape's being a bastard on the surface, but Harry can see beneath it to his real feelings. And you do that so well. And I love what a big heart Harry has. And how clueless and stubborn he is. There really is a huge vein of his willingness to suffer, and even expecting it as his due, in this story, and really everywhere in his character. So, while it was painful that he wouldn't just set the record straight, it did fit with his character.
I also was really intrigued by the culture you set up about unwanted preganancies--it being all the male's responsibility is really interesting and the repercussions were really interesting. Cool idea.
