I can see I'm going to have to track down some Hamish MacBeth to read, plus dig out my cassettes of Alan Rickman reading Hardy's Return of the Native. Rickman's not my visual Snape, but it was impossible not to hear him when reading this. Harry's self-destructive tendencies make total sense (and I'm always up for a little Harry torture, don't ask me why) and Snape's blind contribution to Harry's situation. Plus, I'm always a fan of Albus-meddling-from-beyond-the-grave fics. But mostly, I always love the wealth of detail you put into your fics and the slow but never boring build-up and always with an emotional wallop. Go Capitan!
