Oh gosh! That was absolutely lovely! Perfect! It made me smile and cry and laugh... and I love the way you really wove the prompts into the story rather than just having them as decoration, if that makes sense. Everyone was 'coming home' in some many different ways. The literal sense of 'home' with the inheritance of the house and the difference houses in the story, and then the abstract 'coming home'- Harry finding his father, visa versa, and of course Harry and Sname finding each other. And then, running parallel is the Captains Courageous story, also about the different ways of coming home.
I also like the way you told the story- slowly, as if you yourself was withholding information, keeping secrets. Especially concerning Snape and Harry's past- did they have a past, had they been lovers, why did Harry idolise Snape? All this, you told in bits and pieces, spread out.
Sorry, I'm rambling and over analysing and I'm gonna stop know. just wanted to say I loved this and I'm happy I found a new writer I like. *goes of to look for your other fics*
