OPENING GAMES FREE-FOR-ALL CHALLENGE No. 15 from Snarry Games Mod, Snakeling
These awesome drabbles come from the awesome [info]snakeling, mod-extraordinaire.

Title: Peekaboo
Author: [info]snakeling
Thing/Place/Action: With squeaky shoes in the forest, hiding
Drabble: 100 words, hand-counted
Rating: PG

Being quiet in a forest was a lot less easy than it sounded. Not only did Harry have to be careful not to step on a dead branch or a heap of dry leaves, he also had to work with the noise his damned shoes made all by themselves.

Harry pondered the situation and came to the only possible conclusion. He knelt and took his shoes off, abandoning them there.

Slowly, he stood back up and tiptoed out of the bush he'd knelt behind.

"Hello, Potter." Snape was pointing his wand and his best sneer at him.

Harry's stomach dropped.

Title: Paranoia
Author: [info]snakeling
Thing/Place/Action: With a newt in a creaky old house, yawning
Drabble: 100 words, hand-counted
Rating: PG

Harry was watching Snape prattling on about potions and bat wings and eyes of newts while barely repressing a yawn when he heard a noise.

"Wait! Did you hear that?" All of a sudden, he was wide awake.

Snape stopped talking and started trying to kill him with his eyes.

"There was a noise. I distinctly heard something."

"Potter, even giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that you were not, in fact, dreaming, this house is over three hundred years old. Moreover, it's a wizarding house, bound to have a couple of ghosts and dozens of portraits."

Title: Listening To Your Elders
Author: [info]snakeling
Thing/Place/Action: With an umbrella in a cemetery, coughing
Drabble: 100 words, hand-counted
Rating: PG

Harry is aware he must cut quite the pathetic figure, huddling under the rain with an umbrella for sole protection, but he's among Muggles and can't use charms.

He doesn't even know why he's come. It's not like they ever loved him, or even treated him decently, and one handshake doesn't make up for sixteen years of abuse.

He coughs, wondering whether he's coming down with a cold, the Dursleys' parting shot.

Severus said he'd had quite enough of burying the people he liked without going to the funerals of the people he loathed.

Harry should have followed his advice.

Title: Unexpected Encounters
Author: [info]snakeling
Thing/Place/Action: With an alcoholic beverage on the beach, reclining
Drabble: 100 words, hand-counted
Rating/Warning: PG. Also, crack.

When Harry finds Severus Snape, he is reclining on a chaise lounge, holding a frosted glass of punch, his skin brown from the sun, making the scars on his neck stand out.

Harry stares. He can't help it. When he got the lead, he followed it all the way to Waikiki Beach, convinced it was a waste of time, as usual.

And yet, there Snape is.

Who'd have thought Snape hid that kind of body under his robes? Harry feels a bit inadequate, in comparison.

Not that it's going to stop him from trying to get into Snape's tiny speedos.

Thank you, [info]snakeling! ♥

Severus is a smart man. Funerals are bad enough, but for people who made your life hell? I'm with him on that one!

I love them all, but the last is my favorite. It isn't every day you come across this:

Not that it's going to stop him from trying to get into Snape's tiny speedos.

And that Harry would feel inadequate...oh my! I can certainly use my imagination, visualizing Snape's 'endowments'.

Wonderful drabbles, thanks for playing!

As much as I loved the visual you created with the last one (inadequate, indeed!), it was 'Listening to Your Elders' that really held me spellbound. God, yes, I couldn't agree with Snape more on that one. Wonderful!

Snape was pointing his wand and his best sneer at him. Great line!

Snape stopped talking and started trying to kill him with his eyes. LOL

Severus is right about attending the funerals of people you loath, especially when the weather is bad enough to further dampen
Harry’s spirits.

Not that it's going to stop him from trying to get into Snape's tiny speedos. I love Harry’s positive thinking.

Picturing Snape in his tiny speedos is a pleasure.

Great turns of phrase in these. It's Snape's tiny speedos which stick in my mind most, though. Wonder why? ;)
