OFFICIAL OPENING GAMES FREE-FOR-ALL CHALLENGE for the 2009 MIXED SNARRY GAMES

Definitions

• DRABBLE: Exactly 100 word story with no more than 15 words for title.
  
• FICLET: No more than 500 word story, no less than 100 words, with no more than 15 word title.
  
• DRAWBLE: A quick drawing or sketch, taking no more than an hour to create, with no more than 15 words for a title.
  
• LIMERICK: A light humorous, nonsensical, or bawdy verse/poem of five lines usually with the rhyme scheme a/a/b/b/a.
  

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to submit to the Snarry Games (to be posted during the Opening Games) any or all of the above, using the challenge parameters as set out below.

We will be accepting said Drabbles/Drawbles/Ficlets/Limericks until JUNE 15, 2009.

The CHALLENGE:

You must place Severus Snape and Harry Potter together in one of the following Scenarios, using at least ONE of EACH* of the (A) Things, (B) Places, and (C) Actions:

FAQs

1. How many Drabbles/Ficlets/Drawbles can I submit?

- As many as you like. There is no minimum or maximum. Have fun!


2. How do I format them?

- We would appreciate the following things to be a part of your submission:

1. Overall Header including your penname/lj user name, and beta, if any.

2. Warnings and Ratings. All extreme content must be warned for and rated accordingly. You may preface each drabble, or do an overall one with the Header.


3. Each Entry you submit must be be identified with the THING/PLACE/ACTION used. You must use at least one of each to qualify.


4. Formatted for lj, preferably. If you are not certain how, please just ask, we can help. Oversized art will be resized to fit in a normal journal post.

3. Do they need to be betaed (beta read)?

- We encourage all people submitting their entries to be beta read. We have a mod who is willing to read any submissions to look for errors/typos if you are unable to find your own.


4. Is there a sign up post? Where do I send them once they are done? Can anyone play?

- You need not sign up; you just need to want to play. This includes current Champions. We look forward to anyone who wishes to accept the challenge. When you are finished, you need to email them in a .txt or .doc file to the mods at snarry [DOT] mod [AT] gmail [DOT] com, by JUNE 15, 2009.

We will begin posting them as soon as they start coming in, and will continue to post right up to Games starting date of August 1, 2009. First come, first served!
