Thank you for writing this! I love bonding fics. The length, detail, and humor were a great combination. I liked the realism of their slow mutual adjustment -- one step forward, one step back -- with each of them sometimes getting it right, and sometimes blowing it.
The bonding you invented reflected the awkwardness of their relationship as they slowly discover what how much they have in common, and how to "give each other room."
That makes the fic extra enjoyable by functioning as a kind of meta-commentary, or an extra level of humor. As in so many Snarry fics, it's Hermione who stands in for the readers and sees the joke.
Also? I love that Harry's first big gift to Snape is to replace his damaged library -- and with the Blacks' library at Grimmauld, no less. ::comforts Severus::
