TEAM DRAGON ENTRY: The ConCept "And Malfoy Makes Three"
Title: And Malfoy Makes Three
Author: AbstractConcept [info]the_con_cept
Team: Dragon
Genre(s): Humour
Prompt(s): Ménage à Trois and Baby Blues
Rating/Warnings/Kinks: NC-17; *Threesome and references to Mpreg. Also, this is very much a threesome fic; that is to say, there is Snape/Harry, but it’s really Snape/Draco/Harry.*
Word Count: 40,000+ words.
Summary: Snape completely misinterprets Harry's oblique hints about a baby.
A/N: Much thanks primarily to my betas [info]angela_snape and [info]carpet_diemon (without whom this fic would have fizzled out), with help from [info]cira_arana, Team Dragon, and much admiration for [info]joanwilder and the Mod Supreme [info]djin7.

This was utterly and completely delightful, frothy perfection. I adored Snape's fantasies, and the sweetness of Harry in this one. So many funny lines that I should have copied into a file so that I could quote them back to you! You really created a characterization of Snape, the world's most jealous bastard in canon, that could believably want a menage a trois--and whipped cream. Yummy.

Oh! That was wonderful. I loved your Snape, willing to do anything to ensure that Harry stays, and Harry not wanting to change anything in the house in fear that Severus would oust him, and Draco barging in, interpreting for them. Delightful.

Snape's description of what he imagined Harry and Draco doing was... guh! Unbelievably hot.

But my favorite thing, by far, was Snape's sort of contented surrender at the end.

Well done!

Oh my, yes - the end of this is just perfect! Severus' quiet surrender is so freakin' funny - and the kids all know he's a push-over for them. Except that ebil laugh, of course!

Absolutely brilliant, love! I know how much you put into this and it is perfection!

Excellent; funny and IC for al,. and a fitting fate for Lucius, and did I mention funny?

"Never mention gerbils and sex"..do we even want to know what traumatic experience triggered that?
The Severus 'fantasies were so good, and drifted into a pony was sweet, in a perverted way.

Harry got a few good lines in too, as in "Is it MY problem?"
High marks, fun story.

I loved the miscommunication between Snape and Harry. Just curious why Snape was so against a gerbil....

On a serious note, do you know someone adrenoleukodystrophy? I remember a boy in primary school who had that disease. It is such a sad diesease and I wish there was a Snape out there working on a cure.

"Because—I'm—I'm a total hypocrite," he finished lamely.

"So what? Snape's a voyeuristic pervert and I'm a manipulative brat. We all have our little flaws," Draco told him.

The entire story, summarized in 3 sentences. So very nice! I liked your Draco, he actually became quite a nice bloke by the end.
Poor Severus, all those children.

And you wrote my OT3, bless you! *g*
There are, of course, too many wonderful lines here to quote back, so suffice to say I enjoyed this immensely. Your Draco was perfect, your Snape was hilarious and your Harry adorable. And the babies.... Hehehhe!
Great job, my dear. Loved it! :)

H/S/D is my OT3, and this is wonderful. I've seen "Harry & Draco go after Snape" and "Snape & Draco add Harry," and a handful of PWPs where it was unclear (and unimportant) who might've already been involved, but I don't think I've ever read a Snarry where Draco joined them. Beautiful.

I'm delighted at Draco managing to be the mediator who can translate for the two of them, matching Snape's wizarding background and contempt for all things Muggle, and matching Harry in general life experience and hobbies (or at least, Quidditch). I love how he's able to bring an analytical eye to a relationship that neither of them has spent any time thinking about... they apparently went straight from "mortal enemies" to "throbbing bedmates" without considering how to adapt to each other's needs outside the bedroom.

And Harry's reluctance is hilarious:
"I'm going to visit Ron and Hermione," he said, very carefully enunciating each word so Snape would not misinterpret this as Draco and I will be filling a big tub with flavoured gelatine and writhing around in it naked.

Also, not-so-subtle jab at Phoenix very sneaky, and now I'll have to watch future stories on their side to see if anyone returns the favor. Heh.

I loved this story. I loved the way that the relationship with Harry and Draco happened slowly, over time. Draco was so deliciously manipulative, Snape wonderfully snarky and Harry delightfully clueless. I loved Snape's eventual capitulation and the love that he had for Harry and evntually Draco. It was funny and witty and totally delightful.

Brilliant!

Oh, finally! I was waiting for your fic to be posted and I did squeal when I saw it was up. I was so curious to find out how the story turned out in the end, not to mention that I've discovered the joys of harry/draco/severus for me ... Yes, and then I kept squealing while I read it. Hehe. Totally squee-worthy!

I really liked the difference in the relationships between those three and how, in the end, each of them was something the other wanted/needed: Harry has company, Severus has someone who loves to be depended on him, Draco doesn't have to hide who he is, not to forget Harry and Severus have a translator. Loved translator!Draco. From Bastardese into Dimwittian. *lolz*

Loved Harry's slow progression from denial to acceptance of Draco in their lives - and bed - too. It's just so Harry, to make a judgement and then stick to it, no matter what - and then suffer nobly because he'd be such a hypocrit if he admitted ... *laughs* Oh, well.

Plus, I think their fight turned out really well. The paragraphs are really short, and that get's tension and quick action across really well. And Draco's redecoration? Holy Hippogriff. No surprise that Harry flipped. Hehe. I loved it, though. ^-^

Oh, yes, the business with the Philosopher's Stone! Sneaky and very well-done, from the rumours Severus's scoffs off in the very first paragraph, over the teddy bear - and wasn't Severus clever to hide the Stone in there? - to the resolution in the "epilogue". Really clever, how this little bit ran through the fic in the background but was one of the things that kept the ball rolling.

But I have to honestly admit, my favourite part was Narcissa bashing Lucius over the head with the teapot. makani's Narcissa popped up in my mind when I read that and I couldn't stop laughing.

Alltogether, great story. And I feel sooo special for being mentioned ... *giggles* Oh, and I hope you don't mind if I add the story to my SS/HP/DM masterlist on next month's update?

1. Since I also write this threesome, I always want to see how other writers view the dynamics of this trio. It's important that each has his role in the ménage, and is respectful of the others' roles.

The introduction of Malfoy into this relationship was well done. Though not the addition that Harry wants -- or expects -- Draco's role as interpreter makes a lot of sense. Unlike Severus, who has been part of this world so long that he barely remembers what it was like to be living as a Muggle, Draco understands Harry's need to have things explained to him. Moreover, Draco is far closer in age to Harry than Severus and so understands that sometimes Harry needs to whine about Severus to someone who also understands Severus.

Severus's fears that the age thing might get to Harry at some point and cause him to wander are logical. After all, relationships do go stale. So having Draco, who is as much of a misfit as they are, join them, makes sense. Especially since Severus is more than fond of the brat, and the brat is more than ready to fall in love with anyone who will accept him as he is.

Harry is harder to convince, but having someone who is more ready to deal with the other parts of the relationship -- other than bed -- like redecorating, enlarging the house, entertaining, etc., is rather liberating for him. He may have saved the world from Voldemort, but he really isn't much of a world leader.

2. The sexual dynamics are as interesting. Snape definitely has no intentions of ever bottoming. (He's done enough of that with Dumbeldore and Voldemort. Interesting that is his main worry about the threesome.) Harry doesn't mind bottoming -- it removes responsibility from his overwhelmingly responsible history -- but he would like to be given the chance to top once in a while. Which won't happen with Snape's concerns. Draco loves to be sexually dominated and the thought of being bottom to two men makes him very happy. AND frankly, he comes across as far more experienced in the non-vanilla kind of sex so he will bring a certain spice to their bed.

3. I will admit to being a lover of epilogues. I adored JKR's epilogue. We would never have learnt about Albus Severus without the epilogue. And this epilogue is just plain great.

I actually had to read it twice before my brain accepted the six kids. OMG! Severus, who hates kids, never ever wants to go near them again...with SIX!!!!!

I roared.

It makes sense that they move into Malfoy Manor...though when Lucius is released from prison, I think things may get a wee bit tense...until the kids win him over. (Though I shudder to think what grandpa will be teaching the kids!)

I loved the hint that bottoms really run the relationship. Draco's dealing with Severus and the Stone was a complete hoot. And with getting the daughter he wants... snicker.

And I love the way that the evil potions master, who was the terror of so many in his previous life, is now a settled, middle-aged, middle-class papa with kids he adores, two 'wives' who run his life, and who still has time to make plans for (and here I admit to hearing The Brain from 'Pinky and the Brain') taking over the world. Even if it is only *his* world.

What a fantastic story!!! (YAYYYYY, Dragon!) Into the bedtime reader binder for sure!

What a fabulous story!! I was willing Harry to open his eyes and succumb to the Slytherin manipulation all the way though! Of course it would take Draco pretending to have been exiled to make him see what they stood to lose! So many great laugh out loud lines, super hot sex and a wonderful ending to boot! Severus deserves every single muddy handprint! I noticed you'd said in other comments worrying about writing Draco; well you worried for nothing, becuase he was absolutely perfect; snarky, arrogant and a complete prima donna!

The line that really got me was Harry having as much dominance and submission as he wanted and that is so perfect for him!

Thank you for such a fabulous read!

Okay, FIRST, thank you! Draco is only remotely palatable for me when he's paired with Harry and Severus -- I think it takes both of those two to make him into anything besides the wee kickable he is in canon for me, and in this rendition of the tripling, you have made him the perfect relationship spackle for the Snarry -- he fills in the cracks they don't really know about until after he's gone, and that's just as it should be.

And don't think I didn't notice that little dig at Team Phoenix, you proactive gloater, you.

The comedic timing was beautiful, and your handle on dialogue was just brilliant.

But you needed to have more pelvic exams. With speculums.
*Is kidding!*

Well done!
