Kudos for your very inventive way of bringing Snape back to life as the HBP (umm..I man Newlin, of course). Definitely not one that I'd thought of before, and not one that I guessed before it was revealed.
The business with the Elder Wand was also very nice, although I did wonder whether Newlin's freezing of Harry would consist of "defeating" him and making Newlin the master of that particular wand. Still, it was relatively easy to decide that that wouldn't. Otherwise, every time someone threw a spell at another person, there would have to be an exchange of wands. And that would get tedious.
All in all, a lovely and twisted bit of political intrigue and a wonderful final image with Harry and Snape.
