I really liked this story, definitely one of the best in the Games so far. My only misgiving was Ginny. I don't buy that she's just in it for the social position her husband provides. At least in HBP, she seems independent and makes things happen for herself. In my opinion, it's more likely that she gets bored or annoyed with the emotional baggage Harry is carrying. But back to your great fic. One question: why isn't Newlin the new master of the Elder Wand after he beats Harry with the Petrificus? When I read that I thought you were letting Davies repeating Voldemort's mistake in making wrong assumptions about the ownership.
I really liked your Newlin. For me, the suspense lay in the question of how much Newlin himself is aware of his past as Snape. In the beginning I thought, he perhaps has flashbacks, but is not sure what to make of them. What really worked for me very well, was his occupation as a historian! It makes sense that Snape would be more than mildly interested in the war, Dumbledore's motivations, everything that happened really, to come to an understanding of his own role as a spy/sacrifice/puppet/manipulator.
Lastly, I also enjoyed your grown-up Harry. He is still flawed, but also mature. And I enjoyed the short glimps of his interaction with his aurors.
An intellegent, compelling fic! Thank you very much, Krabat
