*happy sigh*
I loved what I saw of this story when you posted it in the community and now that I've had a chance to read it in its entirety it did not disappoint!
Severus is such a stubborn coot! *wants to smack him* And Harry, fighting with everything he has for Severus' life and a chance for them to be together was perfect.
Skeeter's articles were both hilarious and infuriating (well done!) and you kept me going right up until the end.
The sex was delicious and SO sensual and HOT, loved it. Just a great Monday morning story, my dear. You did a great job with this.
Yay Team Phoenix!

Snape is such a contrary boy here, isn't he? A nice mixture of suspense and snark, and the news articles were great. A fun read!

An excellent story! I love how sneaky Harry is, though I don't blame Snape for being pissed that Harry didn't keep the promise. Wonderful work.~Sophia

Wonderful fic. In a way this is a snapshot of their relationship-Severus is so stubborn he won't do what's necessary to be freed and Harry knows he will do anything even if he might loose everything. And when it comes down to it, I can agree with both their points of view-but, as usual, when stuck between a rock and a hard place, my money is on Harry. ;) Perfect use of your prompts. Well done.

Good conflict in this story. Harry was right to do what he did and, understandably, Snape was furious with him over it. I’m glad that Harry kept his promise to never leave and Severus finally relented and forgave. You never know with that snarky potions master!

I loved the imagery of Harry watching over Severus from the edge of the woods.

It seemed that death by Potter would finally do him in.

::snerk::

The day he felt anything but contempt and utter loathing for Potter was the day he'd dress in pink and sing 'I'm a Little Tea Pot'.

::snickers:: Why do I have the feeling that day will be soon? Hehhh.

"Goodbye."

::jaw drops:: Wwwaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!! I want a do over!

With a deep breath, Harry reached across the threshold to take Severus' hand.

::happy tears:: Thank you kindly!

This was a wonderful story. Well done!

You highlighted two of their most treasured traits--Snape's surliness and Harry's bull-headedness. Nicely done!

I can only say that reading this was like walking the edge of a cliff, and feeling the vertigo of the earth falling away from you. Less than what was happening around them, the tension and uncertainty between Harry and Severus kept me on edge until the last few lines, and then it was as though I'd come out of the desert into shade and water. A marvelous job of the fulfilling your prompts, and a great look at the dichotomy of Severus complicating, and Harry simplifying every point.

Thank God! When I thought everything was lost Severus was man wizard enough to accept Harry back in his life. Good thing that Harry's so stubborn to come back and check on Severus. Lovely work!

Wonderful confrontation between snarky stubborness and bullheaded stubborness. I loved the use of the poem before and after the story.

I roared when I read:

The day he felt anything but contempt and utter loathing for Potter was the day he'd dress in pink and sing "I'm a Little Tea Pot."

OMG! What an image!

And what persistence on Harry's part to free the bloody man! Only to have him turn on him. I was frankly worried that they would never be able to get together after that little brouhaha, but you managed it.

Great read. (Even if you don't carry through with your threat. Snicker!)

Very nice! You did a great job with fleshing out Harry's Gryffindor determination -- making sure Snape's safe no matter what. I enjoyed all the snarky moments between them. When it became obvious that Harry would have to use Snape's "forbidden" memories to clear his name, I had to brace myself for the inevitable angst. Good thing Snape made Harry hold true to his other promises in the end ;)

You think Snape will ever share his other forbidden memory? The one where he says to himself, "The day he felt anything but contempt and utter loathing for Potter was the day he'd dress in pink and sing 'I'm a Little Tea Pot'."

Heee... I have a feeling that Snape won't even want to let himself so much as think about that little promise.

Very nicely done. You almost had me convinced that Harry would walk away and that Snape would let him.

Oh, that end had me so frightened, afraid that Severus would stick by his original claim and not let Harry back into his life. It's a good thing Harry is such a tenacious Gryffindor.

This was beautifully done, with a desperation on both Harry and Severus' parts that broke my heart, both sticking by their principles.

I absolutely love the story.

The thing I love most about it is the ending. I was all geared up for a sad 'they never saw each other again' ending until when Harry called him out on it. Snape would so do the same thing if it was Harry facing death, so he being a hypocrite can't judge.

And I loved that. It totally fits in with their characters.

I loved the combination of humor and angst in this story. You are an excellent story teller! I was smirking all throughout reading. I too am very pleased that Severus held Harry to his secret promise. Although, I feel like I may have missed something. If I have this right, after seeing that Snape loved Lily and gave up the death-eaters in order to protect her, the wizengamot immediately found him innocent and awarded him the Order of Merlin. I may be cynical but I find it difficult to believe that such an overwhelming change of verdict would happen. I guess I just don't understand how being able to love Lily proves him innocent. I wouldn't mention it if I didn't think you are an excellent writer. I really did enjoy the story. And maybe I really am missing some point! :) Thank you very very much!
