Thank you. I didn't mean to demonize Ginny per se, but I certainly think that JKR wrote her in such a way (especially in book 6) that was less than flattering, so I consider "Snape's" view of her to be pretty canon.
I cannot write anything else about these two. Honestly. It's done. I was scrambling to find something to write even as I accepted writing for the games, and then I realized that I needed to write my own Epilogue. I could have easily made this gen and I did toy with that idea. But no matter. What needed to happen, IMO, in the last book was Snape's friendship with Lily exposed in such a way that it demanded Harry's forgiveness, a resolution to the whole Marauders feeding Snape to Remus, which is what, I think, absolutely has to be predicated by Snape defecting to Voldemort's camp, and Snape's final confrontation with Albus. THESE are the issues that should have been dealt with in the last book. Instead we got another very convoluted plot sequence. To be fair, JKR is a plot-driven writer and these are character-based arcs, but we needed to see these scenes. And we didn't. Um, so I wrote them. Thanks for the very, very kind words. I had an uber shitty week last week and could use the cyber praise.
