I'm so far behind that I'm using the alphabetical listing to catch up, and as much as I wanted to skip right to yours, I held out until I got there.
I LOVED this. It was an interesting juxtaposition, with Snape not wanting to embrace the future, and Harry tying up the threads of his past without him really noticing. Seeing Harry's frustration with Snape refusing to eat really brought this into perfect relief; I'm so glad you told that part of the tale.
I adored the ending. Getting Snape freed wasn't really saving him, now was it? He had spent his life indebted to Voldemort, to Dumbledore, to Lily. He has never had a life of his own. The open-ended finish to your story was perfect, then. That was truly the moment where Snape was saved; for the first time, he had choice. That is true freedom, and Harry gave it. No wonder Snape acted as if he was seeing Harry for the first time. They were both made new in that moment.
