Okay, so I love that before the first paragraph even ends, I had to go to the dictionary to look up "cephalothorax" (hee)...and I love the rest of this story just as much. Snape-as-Scorpion is not only perfect conceptually, but you've done a brilliant job of giving this particular scorpion a real personality (and I love that, as usual, Albus can see through any Snape disguise). Plus, of course, the relationship between Harry and Snape was great (including Snape's stubborn conviction that his reactions were nothing but the instincts of an arachnid *G*). Nicely done, all the way around...and I'm going to be adding this to my recs page when I next update!
