How eager am I for Snarry_Games fics? :D

I love the comforting aspect and how close Harry and Snape got during their time in the cottage waiting for someone to come to let them out. Very lovely work.~Sophia

Oh, but that was lovely! It was nice to see Harry and Severus interacting in a more mature way. There was a lot of old bad blood and hurt feelings there that you managed to have them steer through very effectively!
And I'm always fond of Harry the Auror. ;)
Well done!

OMG! I so love this Snape!

That's because you were snot-nosed little miscreants who never used the brains in your head for what they were intended."

That's the truth of it, even here and now. No wonder I channel Snape!

"An entire school full of girls PMSing at the same time was loads of fun, I'm sure."

OMG! The writer has to be a teacher...

Why didn't Snape or Dumbledore give him practical exercises that made sense?

Because when you're fifteen, you don't listen to what your teachers tell you, prat! Some give up trying.

Criminals were notoriously stupid, and could be trusted to hang themselves on their own petard or overblown ego, sooner or later.

Certain Aurors as well, I fear.

Though he was silent, Harry could feel the contemptuous amusement rolling off him

That's our Snape! LOL!

"Great Merlin. Harry Potter in charge of law enforcement." He shook his head, and laughed.

Snicker!

Telling Ginny Weasley that he had tried his best to love her, but that he just couldn't, especially after she had just found out she didn't make the All-England Quidditch team, won him not understanding but a hexing that still made him wince. And telling her in the next moment that he had concluded he was gay earned him a bare-fisted beating

Ooooo, talk about bad timing!

Just two blokes sharing a meal and a beer?

The boy still likes to delude himself, doesn't he?

And then I really got into the story and forgot to cut/paste. :-)

I loved the fact that Severus has found religion and with it peace. Novel take on our cantankerous Potions master.

I love the way both of them have dealt with their anger issues. Even if Harry's control occasionally slips.

And the little we see of Draco makes me think they aren't the only ones who have dealt with their issues.

Lovely story all round.

There were several things I really enjoyed about this fic-Harry's attitude when he was going to interrogate Snape, before he noticed any true differences in the man and he decided he would be the better man and treat him properly. Hooray for growing up. I have a secret kink ;) for Snape being somewhat religious-I loved his worry beads-he has much to contemplate and meditate on. Finally, I love them both expecting to find the man they left behind and yet they've both changed. Really sweet story.

I just love your Snape! I always imagined that this is truly the way he would turn out after the war was over and he was given a chance to live. This was just really a beautiful story and Thank you so much for letting us have a chance to read it!

Good story. You really worked at them dealing with their issues and having the both of them struggle. No magical 'everything is suddenly just peachy because the war is over'.
I am glad Severus' snarking remained intact.

Oh, very nice! I love grownup Harry, I really do, and you capture a sense of him as a person who has *worked* for his maturity, who has had to confront a lot of ugliness and managed to do so with courage and dignity. It's nice to see him a space where he seems . . . balanced and heart-whole.

And I like Snape, still quick-witted, and sharp-tongued, but not *nasty*. I'm intrigued by the idea of Snape having found solace in faith, too. Though for someone as hard-headed and pragmatic as he is, it seems odd on the surface, it makes an odd sort of sense.

Yay for having Ron and Hermione, too, and even Draco. And double-yay for happy endings!

This was a winner! A warm and romantic Snarry story! ::hugs it:: I savored it slowly through the course of the day, trying to make it last as long as possible. I loved the fine portrayal of Harry and Severus, both so mature and mellow. They asked forgiveness for past wrongs and forgiveness was given; an understanding was reached, then all things seemed possible between them. ::sighs:: It's everything that I could have wanted. It was wonderful to read how they took care of each other in that cottage on St. Ninian's Isle, healing from their injuries. Lovely, lovely hurt/comfort! ::squee!:: My absolute favorite genre.

"A lifetime of bad decisions."

::winces:: Poor Severus. This was a great line.

Severus made a 'hrumph' sound. "I hope you don't come to regard me as a. . . snuggle buddy."

Ha! Hope he does! 8D

A most satisfying story! Simply marvelous! Kudos!!

Harry and Snape, trapped in a small space...a Snarry cliché that you used admirably to meet your prompt of forgiveness. I was struck by the justness of Harry's anger over Snape not ever telling him about his mother, when they were at Hogwarts. Of all the things that Snape might owe an apology for, this isn't one that I've ever really considered, but your Harry certainly made his case for it, and in retrospect, it rings true that this would be one of Snape's greatest transgressions in Harry's eyes.

I like the pace of your story, how it flowed, nothing seemed to clang or be forced. Snape 'finding religion' was an odd twist, but the picture of him sitting quietly, fingering the prayer beads, gave this a comforting feel.

Congrats on an enjoyable story! It was a pleasant way to spend my evening.

Interesting to see a hurt/comfort where they're both hurt. I liked the way you explored the unresolved issues between them.

Nice tie-in between prompt and title!

Masterfully done. I enjoyed this very much. Snape treading a path of beliefs was beautifully and respectfully handled. I can very much see how the events of his life could lead him to such a place. I adored little bit older, life-experienced!Harry. He's grown up some but there's still that bit of recklessness that youth provides, no matter how much life has thrown at you.

Yay for Team Phoenix!!
