Ooh, lovely! Time-travel and young!severus are two of my favorites and this fic was a very enjoyable read. I especially loved your characterization of Snape - truly excellent. ;)

A delightful read. I just loved everything about it, especially the switch of who's teacher and who's student! *g* Lovely.

And if this fic is any indication of how all of the rest are gonna be, that I doubt I'll be able to pick a solid favorite. Oh well. More Snarry all around! :D

What a way to start the games! It was an enjoyable read. I was teary-eyed when Harry realized that there was no longer a paradox; it had to have been such a happy moment for him, but a bit sad, even though his birth would have meant such sadness in the future -- it indicated that the life Harry had once known, where Ginny and his friends existed, was forever gone.

i was also happy that Severus had another chance at a better life. Harry's kindness to him from the start warmed my heart.

Awww... this was sweet! And it was worked into Canon so smoothly. How fun to read a Hogwarts story. Also fun to see his surprise at how different Dumbledore seems when he's not a student.

Although Harry's loss of his original life and plans is wrenchingly sad, it is comforting to see him gain a new family in Edward and Rose... and the still obnoxious James! And Snape, of course, your delicious, young, so much more loved and yet still snarky Snape. YUM!

Young Severus... *happy sigh*

Okay, I've had my moment now. *g* There were just too many things I loved about this and, damn it, I can't vote. The paradox, the characterizations, Sarah Rose.

What a wonderful way to start the Games!

This was absolutely fantastic. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. Besides the really wonderful second chance for Harry and Severus your story made me reflect deeply about time, the nature of reality and a lot more I can hardly express. I'm moved, so deeply moved. Thank you.

What a way to start the games.

Loved the story. I can't think of anything beyond that much. I have no complaints, no criticism, it was just brilliant and lovely.

Oh yeah, I have to say this.
I absolutely loved Severus. He's one conniving little raven isn't he. I am seriously wondering if at the first moment he met Harry and he was given those clothes he the thought that he was to keep him.

I know by third year he was having romantic thoughts about Harry. But I think his desire to 'own' Harry precluded those thoughts. He certainly seemed territorial of him.

I wonder how long he was making plans to get and keep Harry. By fifth he had to have it mostly planned out.

Damn, I wish I could vote! But I am soooo glad you're a Dragon!
I know I should be writing, but I couldn't resist; I've been wanting to read this ever since you mentioned it on the comm. And I wasn't disappointed, not at all. Seeing the young Severus grow up the way he should have been was wonderful, as was watching the past change as he did. As I read it, I couldn't help thinking that the changes in the future did not have so much to do with what Harry did, but what Severus did not, and how his attitude and life changed everything around him to the point where it would be impossible for it to go back the way it was. Harry's information and doings--insofar as the horcruxes and the order were concerned--seemed, at best, a sidebar in the timeline.

So very well done. rrroooooaaarrrr!

Absolutely excellent first story. What a way to start the games. I loved the premise, young Severus, Harry's relationship with Edward, Dumbledore's obvious affection for Harry, in fact every minute of the story.

It's hard to say more without giving away too much of the story, just in case people are reading the reviews first. But I am applauding your wonderful writing.

I loved the story - normally I'm not a huge fan of time travel stories where Snape ends up younger than Harry, but this didn't bother me. I liked how Severus did change due to Harry's influence but he still remained similar enough that it didn't seem unbelievable. It was a wonderful read, thanks for writing it!

What a wonderful story! Thank you!! And if I may make a tiny nitpick, Harry is not a half-blood, as both his parents are wizards.

I loved the way you resolved the time paradox, and I really enjoyed Harry and Dumbledore's adult friendship. But I must admit that I think my favorite character is your Lily, who got such unfair short shrift in canon. Thank you!

Oh, this was your best Games story yet, in my opinion! While I loved the details: strict!Harry pushing Snape away when he was young, the second hand robes, the shift into Ravenclaw (you just want him in YOUR house, and don't think I don't know it,) what I liked best was behind the scenes.

I love that, despite the changes Harry's gifts gave him, and despite the fact that he was able to preserve his friendship with Lily, he ALMOST became a Death Eater anyway. He wasn't swayed by things, but by his love for Harry; he was faced with the same choice he had in canon, but with more information.

He was still rather anti-social, and looking out for himself. It took something huge to shake him, and agree to spy. It amazed me how in character that made Snape, and it made the story a wonderful treat as it unfolded.

Thanks, Meri, for such a wonderful piece.

Oh, lovely! I like the twist on the age difference, and I *love* stories where Severus gets a chance at a better life than he's granted in canon. I think you do a good job negotiating the understanding that yes, a single person can make a difference--even a decisive one--in a life, but no, it can't fix everything. I enjoy that Severus is still recognizably himself--intelligent, acerbic, loyal, and brave, and that while he is spared the deep-seated bitterness and cruelty of his canon-self, he remains insular, self-protective, suspicious and vengeful. He is, in short, a product of *all* his experiences. Kudos for that. I *love* that he stays friends with Lily, even when she marries that prat James. :)

Harry is lovely as well; it's nice to see him as a well-adjusted adult, with some maturity under his belt, and it was fun to see him trying to resist the temptation of Severus, who so clearly had no intention of being resisted. I did think his reaction to the loss of his old life was oddly low-key, but then, I suppose it would have been hard to focus on the current story while dwelling on that *too* much, and the genre wasn't angst, after all (though I have to say I teared up a little when Severus' mother died). Oh, and I laughed out loud at the 'you date? Just like a real person,' exchange. I work in a middle school, and I know from experience how it blows the kids' minds to realize that staff have lives outside of school.

What a great start to the Games!

What a wonderful story to kick off the games. Timetravel is one of my favourite themes and you did it proud. I also have a major soft spot for Young!Snape, especially with an older Harry mentoring him. The interactions between Harry and Dumbledore were great, with Harry no longer being the student, but being on the same level as Albus. Congrats for a geat story.

What I liked best about this story is that you managed to switch both their roles so admirably and so smoothly that one doesn’t even realize it until the mid of the story. It was fun to read about Harry The Mentor and Severus The Student. Your Severus is still the bastard he is in canon, but somehow it’s all working out in the plot.)
However, for me the story lacks a bit in the building of a relationship part. One moment Hurry is repelled by Severus’ kiss and the next one, they are snogging in Malfoy’s library. Somehow, I wasn’t convinced at that point of the story that there are any romantic feelings at all on Harry’s part. It all seemed a bit to sudden to be convincing. But next page all again was right as rain and until the end of the story I was silently wishing for Severus to succeed in seducing one very stubborn Harry Potter. And as for the sex scenes… well, they were both hot and sweet at the same time. And as a matter of fact they were part of the story, not the final destination. This is rare thing these days to read a story where there is plot that among other things happens to include sex, and not the other way round.
What can I say… Your story is perfect, light and funny, and warm and in every possible way as romantic as you can count on a story with Snape in it.  Great one to open Snarry games with!

Ahh. So damn amazing. Wonderful kick off to the games, and just a wonderful story all the way around. I was on the edge of my seat wondering whether or not Severus would turn out the same way as before, or whether Harry would go back, but it all just turned out so beautifully.

Dumbledore, Harry, and Severus were just characterized so amazingly. Ah! I can't talk coherently at the moment, but just know it was Top-Notch!
