Artist's Notes/Thank yous/Fanfiction used: This is a Zine/Art Journal made Out of my Stream of consciousness as I thought about Crazy Man Michael brilliantly written by Amanuensis, particularly the Section where Harry and his fantasy of the Half-blood Prince interact. Reading it my mind Would grasp at lines: "The memories come when he despairs / When he is at his lowest/ They slip in because he has no resistance/ The Prince's expertise/ Half-Blood all rough edges and street smarts/ An unshaven chin/ Hair / Jacket of Beat Up leather / Disreputable / slouches against a wall / Not Him / His limitations like stones uneven on his Shoulder blades / Harry / himself an empty pack / his naked heart laid open / He can do no more than succumb."

Although this Story is angst the first-born concept of the dark object of love to me is the height of romance. Harry is a young man, a teenager and His epitome of Hipness is none other Than the Half-blood Prince. I began to think about My Half-blood Prince "Roman Nervo" the boy who Symbolized coolness in my head when I was just a young thing and He was also a dark-haired Mix of James Dean, Marlon Brando, Che Guevara, Allen Ginsberg, Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Poe, Bog Dylan, Montgomery Cliff, Antonin Artaud and many, many Others. He would Change slightly depending on my Mood and sometimes He would be the leader of a commune, other Times he would be a modern Prophet, a Beat Visionary, a Poet, a Saxophone player, a common Criminal with artistic Interests, a Painter, a Sculpture, a Rent boy who I would Meet in the Venice West cafe to discuss art and Love with. He was everything I Wanted to be but Was not even In my dreams. Here Harry is a Poet/Singer, Taunter of the DE's otherwise known as the Ultra-Right, lovingly called by his Beat friends "Crazy Man Michael" because of an incident involving a monkey, a Queen and a police officer. He is always accompanied by his companion Severus Snape who is a taciturn Saxophone player with a Flair for wonderful if Incoherent soliloquies and maker of the best hallucinogens this side of the Equator. In this Zine I was Having a conversation about This with Amanuensis with how Her story reminded me So much of how I felt as a Young person and my own Concepts of the Heroic. I hope I have been successful In Conveying what I felt. Thank You v. much Amanuensis for allowing me to Use yr brilliant work of Art to make this humble tribute. Thank you to my Team and to the Mods for the valuable advice to make my little work much better.

Holy CRIPES!!

I was scrolling through my flist and saw the title and thought, "What? Whazzat? Did someone else write a story based on that song too?" And then I looked and I looked and it all started to dawn...

Holy CRIPES. This is--beautiful is too simple a word, remarkable is too faint praise. It's wild, it's fantastic, it's at right angles to all concepts of creativity I've had. WOW.

I keep reading and rereading the text as much as looking at the pictures--it's all there. Migod, it's all there, isn't it!

The piece that I think of as the "cover art" is gorgeous--it looks like an album cover of the '60s, and every time I see the words "Despoiling Harry" I SQUEE!! :D

The picture with the credits, the ticket-like piece--the doe! The doe and the angel!

The "And then they meet" is possibly my favorite. Again, there's something album-cover-y about it, a '90s look this time. I love this vision of Harry!

The performance piece--Lily! The lyrics!

The skull and heart motif gets to me in the next, but I'm particularly drawn to the one after, with Harry and Snape looking as if they've settled into an easy relationship, almost domesticity. And the romance of the last! The entwining, the sense that it could all be in Harry's head from the shape of the thought-bubble and the image of Harry on his own at the bottom. I mean, WOW. (The signature image at the end--is that a sculpture you created?)

I'm amazed at how I can feel the original source in this, I can, while you have made it uniquely your own. Which is WAY more than fanart--it's tribute, it's honor, it's testimonial. I am freaking humbled to have inspired anything like this.

This Is all that I could wish For. When I was reading yr Story the images kept invoking into my body these shocks of emotions as I were remembering what I Have lost and not solely reading some story. Yr words were a sound I Could hear as a drum instinctual and overpowering. Perhaps as fetuses understand within the womb and hear their mother's heart beat and this gives them comfort. I Could not describe what I was feeling within the words of Any language because I do not have yr Art for capturing the world in words but I could see these Images in my head and the resounding colors they left within me. They are not All you have given me and They are not accurate Enough but I sincerely hope as it Is my greatest wish That I have been able to show you Just a little bit of what You have inspired and given me. It was my time of love, innocence and youth That is already past and That was not cared about in My life to be captured even by me but I have my memories and yr words and they are a blessed abundance. Thank you v. much for all.

The sculpture was a gift with a Word to beware of Being good. Angels are Imps and take the children away to Heaven if the children are too good. *g*

	Very creative, very original! I like the style of each piece, and although for whatever reason I had envisioned everything in a grey-tint when I first read the story (my brain's weird... ;p), I love the way you use colors here. Nicely done. (Reply to this)
