Artist's Notes: Drawn from pissed off eskimo's "He Defines Me", Chapter 6: With Severus there, he could lay close and feel the comfort of something solid next to him. Which was how he was right now, his head pillowed on Severus chest, his ear pressed against the scratchy grey cotton of Severus' nightshirt, listening to the man's steady heart beat and letting it lull him to sleep.

Beautiful! Thier skin looks like porcelyn! I also love the snakes on the headboard! wonderful atmosphere, and cute grumpy face on Snape!

I also really like the awkward, yet comfortable position that Harry is in.

Beautiful, even if the colors are a little too dark for me. Harry looks so small and vulnerable, much like a child clinging to a parent for comfort. I love Severus's expression.

Harry's sleeping the way I do. All wadded up in a ball. Lucky sod's got Sev for a pillow though.

I keep coming back to this one, even going so far as to save it to my desktop. The textures, the almost mono-tone, the focus all work together so well to create such an untroubled, serene air about it that's just lovely. From a technical standpoint, it's outstanding; the layering is not as easy as you make it look. So very well done.

Just - absolutely beautiful. The colours and the lines; their faces, bodies, hair and posture; the detail on the blankets, stone and curtain; the looks on their faces!! This really is an utterly marvelous piece. I could stare at Snape's hair and arm for the rest of my life. Same goes for Harry's legs. Lovely, lovely, lovely. &hearts

So beautiful! Harry's sleeping posture is so natural, you're a master! And the monochrome is very well done too. In every aspect an awesome picture!
And Snape's almost falling off the bed, I can see Harry snuggling a bit closer and then ...

This is so gorgeous! The lines on it are simply stunning, and you've caught all those coltish lines of early adolescence amazingly well. Snape face is simultaneously harsh yet restful, almost as if he can feel the warmth of Harry. Lovely!

I love the vulnerability that you've captured with this piece. I don't know if it was a deliberate part of your composition or not, but the way that you have them oriented toward the left makes them both look like they're trying to escape the darkness lurking beyond the bed, even while they're asleep. Gorgeous.

I'm in love with this so much! The subtle shading and colouring, the story it tells with Harry clinging above the blankets and Snape scowling below them -- though I haven't read the source, I can already guess at some of it, just from this one, rich image. Wonderful!

I like this one a lot; the style is absolutely wonderful, as is ol' Grumpy!Snape. It looks more like Harry's head is resting on Snape's side rather than his chest, but the execution is still lovely!
