I really, really love this. As [info]ships_harry says, it's deceptively simple, with so many complex ideas caught in these lines. The white feathers, the dark mark-- wow. Just wow.

Thanks!
Bah, I should be putting better notes on my entry when I do work based on obscure and outdated historical stuff... It's just Harry and Snape in a trench in World War 1. They're holding feathers because in Britain at that time, people would give men a white feather as a sign that they thought them a coward for not enlisting in the army. Of course, the white feather *also* was seen as a sign of peace; being a pacifist...

You did a lovely job here, especially with the light. I love how the greys get darker around the periphery. Ink and graphite...I bet this piece is even more awesome viewed in person!

Thanks! It's actually a bit... wavy and messy looking in actuality! Heh heh..

Beautiful. I especially love the lines and the way you've used the graphite. Subtle, but very strong and striking.

I love how surreal this picture feels... like one of those real life moments when you're trapped in a terrible reality and your body reacts by making things seem dream-like -- this is what your lovely art reminded me of. I love the way you used symbolism. You really made me think: what did the white feathers mean? What's going on with the Dark Mark looming in the air? Fabulous job!

I'm a little in love with this. The way you used the graphite is awesome. Snape's uniform appears simply drawn, but it's a feast for the eyes -- as is the entire top area of the art. I'm sad that I don't fully comprehend the intricacies (what's up with the feathers? what's the time period? is it muggle? so much to feed the eyes). I'd love to know the story behind the drawing.

Thank you very much!

Oh wow, that's so elegant, so gorgeous! I love the use of black and white, the WW1 trench setting and the symbolism of the feathers. Awesome!! :D

Snarry + Sirius's cave.

But...

Snarry + Sirius's cave - Sirius + kink (what else are those feathers for?^^) + dark mark = lots of really dark, desperate angsty sektss.

I agree with the person who called this "deceptively simple." It is. :)
