Of course Steve was always going to be that guy, he'd go down kicking and screaming and insisting that he wasn't going anywhere. There was a reason that he'd been chosen for the Super Soldier project to begin with, Doctor Erskine had seen something in him and that was still there. Of course Steve trusted him, he knew that he had it, but he was always going to try to help.
He was in trouble, he could tell by the set of Tony's shoulders, the crease in his brow as he got closer. Steve slid his hands into his pockets, bowing his head a little as he nodded. "I always want to be between you and anything that could hurt you, but I'll settle for side by side," Steve said as he glanced up.
The people had cleared away, just leaving the two of them, Remus in the box and his friends. Steve knew Tony and he knew he wasn't going anywhere. "I'll grab us some coffee," he said as he backed away and then turned to head into COFFEE to grab some fresh cups. He was back in a few moments to press the warm cup into Tony's hands. "Consider it a peace offering?"
