Claire was - well kind of a miracle really, he hadn't realized that when he'd found her that first night and brought her home but since catching whatever was going around it had become amazingly clear what a blessing she had been to not just the two spider-dudes living under his roof, but so many in the town. It was good having at least someone around who had an idea about medical issues while nearly everyone in town was sick.
But beyond just that kind of baseline medical knowledge she brought to their world, she was just kind of amazing, kind in a way that Peter appreciated, especially when he was feeling so run down and worrying more than he had in a long time. All that said he hadn't actually meant to like run into her that night as he made his way out to the kitchen in search of some water.
"Oh uh," He huffed softly and shook his head, scrubbing a hand against the back of his head, "Just getting some water, I thought i'd spare us both the need for another IV." Once he'd actually let himself admit he was feeling like garbage it had gotten easier to do the things he needed to in order to not push himself quite as much as he had in those early days. "How are you doing?" He asked her, "Do things seem like they're getting better out there?" Maybe this squinting achey feeling was just life now, maybe everyone was better and he just needed to make an adjustment. It was hard to say, but Claire probably had a better idea how most people were doing than he did at this point.
