Clint's request for his birthday had been both simple and specific: he wanted beer, and he wanted Blade Runner. Natasha had thought it would be fun to turn it into something for the whole town, a little bit celebratory, and thus: with the help of Remus, Tony, and Luke, with a projector contributed from Nyx, they'd pulled it off. They'd rigged up an enormous clean white sheet on the side of a building, roughly the size of an actual movie theater screen, the movie playing across it in picture that looked surprisingly crisp and clear. Audio wasn't bad either, though the captions were turned on at the bottom of the screen just in case.
Apparently there were seven different cuts for just the one movie. Natasha hoped whichever DVD she'd snagged had been one of the cuts that was Clint's actual favorite, but she figured beggars wouldn't be too choosy.
Beer had been provided by Pancho's, and a couple trips through the doors had yielded buttered popcorn, Twizzlers, and an assortment of other movie-candy for anyone to choose from if they wanted it. Blankets were spread out on the grass for seating, a couple of cushions to go along with them, and once it got dark outside, the stars and moon hanging low overhead, they'd start it up. It was a lovely summer evening, perfect for an outdoor movie.
