"Seems like it." Peter nodded, they had seen some other little creatures running around in the woods and the surrounding area and now here on the beach there were more, they looked like the belonged here a bit more, on the beach, like the fish things? No one seemed to be trying to help them so he supposed that was what they were supposed to be doing.
As for how he'd ended up with his bulbasaur, "Uh well, Clint and I were in a forest?" He shrugged, "And they were just all around, I think maybe they just kind of pick someone they like?" He suggested lifting his shoulders. "The ball I got later after we'd done some more exploring."
"They seem to have those around so if you find one you like I bet we can figure out how to get you one too." Peter explained poorly. But really this was an entirely different situation than the one he and Clint had walked into, so maybe things would go differently for Carol. He really was just flying by the seat of his pants.
He laughed when she asked about the hotels and he lifted his shoulder shrugging, "It's our thing, we go through a door we find a hotel." At least things in the town were better off now than they'd been the last time they'd found a hotel. They had running water and electricity now, and with more residents things were starting to feel a little bit more... well Peter hated to say permanent, maybe a little bit more in hand than they'd been before.
