"That was half the fun," Tony lamented jokingly. Because yeah, one bad sweep could really end in a lot of casualty and pain at a really, really poor time. He wasn't saying he had experience with it, but he had a little experience with it.
Tony knew Steve wanted it as soon as he'd started planning where the thing would sleep, if he was being honest, and it was fine, honestly. It wasn't as if everyone else in town wasn't just randomly adopting animals this week anyway. And Tony'd agree to about anything if it made Steve happy, if he was being honest.
"Then I guess he's yours. You better pet him again before he loses his mind," Tony said mildly, but leaned in to press their shoulders together momentarily.
