Steve had never had a pet, for that you needed money or an address. So of course he hadn't. But he'd thought about it, all those days running laps it would have been nice to have someone along for the ride. Of course he'd thought a dog might be what he'd go for, but this was like that.
Tony looked a little awkward standing there and being sniffed and Steve thought it was cute. "I know you're not," he said with a huff of a laugh as he stood up again and slid his arm around Tony's shoulders. But Steve wasn't about to just make off with a wild animal, even if it seemed to like him, well it probably had a home here. Steve kissed Tony's temple before releasing him and taking his hand as he continued walking.
But the dog followed, bounding around them in circles, running ahead and then back to them. "Huh I guess it does like us."
